Do any of the other English Members have short wearing Postmen
I’m not an English Member, but one of the postmen around here is apparently an Englishman (or so I’ve been told — I’ve never exchanged a single word with the man) and I don’t recall him ever seeing him wearing shorts.

Not English but yes our welsh postie wears shorts in all weathers, one tough pat! Never seen his cat in shorts ??

John,
I can confirm that Post Office delivery persons DO wear shorts in South Gloucestershire :rolling:
Dave
Thanks Dave,
the ladies wear trousers.
They wear shorts around here in Rugby too.

Thanks Pete.
Well done John
Grabbing the figure painting by the throat
Are you joining the figure GB too?
And yes our lady post persons wear shorts in West Yorkshire.

Thats a nice haul John, You will be an expert at figure painting after that lot. I think all posties wear shorts now.
Paul it dawned on me when I had them all together how many there were, hope I can do them justice , or they will never be mentioned again.

Steve H
Thanks Steve.
OOH don't tell Si , he will want to move up there. :smiling2:.
Don't know about joining a group build for figures, when is it on ?, though I'm down for the animal names one.

John, did you leave any figures for other people to buy:smiling5:

My old postie wore shorts all year round! But our new post lady wears trousers...and they fit very well and she looks very nice in them, not that I’ve noticed.....Please don’t tell my Mrs :smiling5:

Si a few, had to go to one place as I wanted as much for the postage I could get ! .
As for the postal Ladies well fitting trousers I think the least said the better, I have written to Mrs Benson and you are moving into the shed. :surprised::smiling3:, but will be allowed in to cook.

A quick look on the web confirms this is common throughout the uk .

" Yes .it is a Competition to a point....Who has the best stamina within
the Delivery Office to weather climatic conditions before putting on long trousers !
But additionally, it makes sense to wear shorts in the Wet Weather .
Unless you have been a Postman, you won't understand.
Nothing to do with Uniform which is provided....except with long trousers , & plastic coverings, make you more uncomfortable.
You get soaked through quicker, & they make your legs sweat.
Its better to get wet legs & wet shoes, rather than uncomfortable
wet clinging trousers.
Remember a Postman walks around doing a walk, delivery, for a period of more than 6 hours, each day, &without break in the drizzle & pouring rain...! "
posted by an ex postman on Yahoo Answers .

I think I can see him and Christine starting to go out he will mistake it for hair spray
Lee I've put it well out of the way, :smiling3: I could just imagine Christine mistaking it If I took the can into the house, death might be a better choice.!:surprised:

Hi pick this lot up at the Euro expo show at Leas cliff hall in Folkestone .

The brushes are from ABC brushes, a pilot and pirate resin head and us tank driver bust.

Will make a nice reconnaissance/scout vehicle.

This is what they call a bundell kit from Kitcrazy, everthing in one box to make M31 recovery vehicle
which includes all the resin conversion parts, will be interesting.

The British Grant or US Lee were nicknamed the "Iron Cathedral" (US), "Grave for Seven Brothers" (Russian) or "Splendid Target" (German), not the most successful design being 10' tall and limited main gun traverse. Makes an interesting model though. Due to the many different builders, there were many variants. PaulE

More a cross between a light tank and an SPG
By the standards of 1940, its armour and turret gun were par for the course for a medium tank. It’s American light tanks that were the odd one out compared to those of other countries, being more like many mediums in weapons and armour, though not size.

In an act of gross stupidity I put my name down for the Bombers Moon GB so I had to go shopping, this is what turned up

Hi Allen I could do 9 Sherman on top of what I've already made but at the minut I'll stick at 7 and there will be 5 German tanks, 1 Russian tank as well.
