Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2019)

This was my original choice for the starter kit GB but as the owner hasn't been able to get it out of the window until now I will be doing it as a normal kit and as it's been there for a while I got it for half price.20190510_145023.jpg

Once again the bell at Race Towers has been pressed and our shorts wearing Postman handed in a parcel.( Do any of the other English Members have short wearing Postmen, seems that they all dress like this around here ).

More Figures, guess what country they are modelled on.......................................

John, did you leave any figures for other people to buy:smiling5:

My old postie wore shorts all year round! But our new post lady wears trousers...and they fit very well and she looks very nice in them, not that I’ve noticed.....Please don’t tell my Mrs :smiling5:

Finally got round to getting an airbrush. Not used one since I was an undertaker. Just got to invest in a spray booth now.IMG_20190503_200247.jpg

Paul,
An undertaker? Am I going to regret asking what use an undertaker had for an airbrush?
Dave

We used to do quite a few funerals with coloured coffins and the manufacturer s would send a pot of paint for touching up any scratches or scuffs and I was the only one that could use an airbrush. Sorry if you were expecting something more exciting.

Forgot to mention, I only need an airbrush for models these days as I am a manager on a poultry farm. The chickens don't need spraying, they look ok the colour they're meant to be.

Earned some extra cash of late and went to the not so local hobby shop (near Schiphol) for a little shopping trip:

Was on the lookout for the books, the decals, the Bigsin set and the Eggplane, the rest were extra’s…:nerd:
I like that piper Fernando

But aren't brown eggs worth more than white ones?
Pete

Arrived this morning.

Not the cheapest cutters, but boy do the cut cleanly, my old cheap pair will be used for cutting the main plastic on the sprues.
Adhesive for trees,, better than the hairspray.
John.
I think I can see him and Christine starting to go out he will mistake it for hair spray
