Latest Acquisitions (2019)

My haul from Southwell:
P1150368.JPG
Some Stynylrez, since some people seem to swear by it, and some needle juice (airbrush lubricant).
P1150369.JPG
Thin brass strip form Coastal Craft for £1 - I still might have a go at making that bar armour for the Warrior!
P1150370.JPG
Camo masks for a 1/72 Hurricane I keep threatening to build.
P1150371.JPG
And finally a couple more kits - £5 for the Wildcat, £8 for the Hind.
Bargain of the show (which I didn't buy) had to be the spray booth, with hose, and a Tamiya turntable, for £5!
Pete

Good to see you went for the Hind in the end. I didn't see that spray booth though or I'd have snapped it up!

It was on the table just inside where the competition was, but it went fairly early on, unsurprisingly.

My haul from the Newark show.

Just got a little bonus today. Friend of mine was selling her nail varnish/brush stuff (not into that sort of thing despite the rumours lol). She was just going to bin this 3.5L compressor until her husband pointed out i use an airbrush for my models. so she kindly offered it to me for free. Well chuffed. That can replace my Clarke Wiz compressor :)

Sure is Andy. My last compressor went bang some years ago and i've never had the money to replace it. Don't know how long this will last as it hasn't been used for a while but as it's free, nothing gained nothing lost.

Hi Alan
That is a great pressie. Looks like the very popular AS186 which is sold under many labels. If it doesn't work as it should don't just give up on it. It is really easy to service. Have a look at THIS video. I have done mine and I'm a mechanical idiot :rolling:

That's a nice result Alan. I got one last year as my first compressor and have no problems so far and it's not particularly noisy.

And as Jim said its easy to service and plenty of spares you can get hold of.

After a barren spell on ebay, bidding and missing on a load of items, I finally won one, which postie duly delivered
revell air berlin.jpg
The mouldings look a lot cleaner than the Revell Etihad Airbus that I'm in the process of building. Oddly the decals, Air Berlin & Sobelair are of companies that have both gone bust.
Not much benchtime at the moment, I've got a neck strain - really pains me when I move it ( absolute agony when I sneezed! ) - looks like I'll be propped up in front of the telly, with a bottle of painkillers for a while...............

Thanks for the link. Not the most professional vid but they do show easy it is to service it. Hopefully won't need it for a while but useful nonetheless. Thanks again for sharing.

Hi all

So a friend was helping a neighbour/family member clear our her loft and she came across these very old publications (two are HMSO) and knowing of my WW2 interest thought I would like them - and all free.
