A few months ago I showed the refurbished powder coated cloche, and the flowers that had been repainted
All finished now and Christine's put everything back .
A whole other world, personally I think I would rather live there at the moment.:smiling3:

Hi John
Beautiful.
A whole other world, personally I think I would rather live there at the moment.
I feel that would only be true if you were one of the more wealthy citizens.

Very true Jim, the Gentleman sitting on the bench is reading a paper , the headlines read
ENGLAND WIN WORLD CUP
England 5 Germany 0 :smiling2::smiling2:

That looks great. When my wife retires (as if, I'm going first) I'll be on 'doll's house building duties' so I am informed.

What scale Colin?
Rick H.
Oh, now it's getting complicated. From what I've seen, the furniture would suit a 3 or 4 inch figure - that's an estimate, of amazing proportions !

Guys normal is 1 /12 but Standardised sizes for modern dollhouses include 1:6, 1:12, 1:16, 1:24 and 1:48, while antique houses are often a custom size. Some dolls houses as Colin says are quite massive .

The reason I asked is some of these doll houses take on the proportions of a mansion! Space constraints turn this sort of thing into a major consideration...doll house vs. modeling space...hmmmm.

Well now. It's like a whole new parrellel dimension to the modelling world I sort of understand ! Clearly research is needed.

And we thought Colin we had it hard ! A quick search on the net will give you the best scale to work on. I've been some fantastic buildings , with candelabras that light up, complete shops , the choice is massive .

Phew! Thank goodness my wife just loves books and gardening. With books I'm left alone now with her Kindle...it's the gardening that breaks my back even if it's the size of a postage stamp. My involvement is basically shifting the pots and bags of earth.

Nice scene John, how do you do powder coating as a DIY?

Cheers,
Richard

Richard, I had tried painting it several times with various anti rust paints but it failed, the rust just came through. Took the plunge and found a company near here who did the powder coating, well worth the out lay. Think the poly carbonate sheeting which I had cut to size was nearly as much, but when cut with a laser there are no rough edges . All in all we are very pleased with it, esp as Christine's father had used it in his garden years ago.

Tea is served at 4 pm with full waitress service , along with the sandwiches are some fancy cakes which Si has made.
Smart casual is exceptable, management have the right to refuse admission to any one wearing smocks, or stove pipe hats greater than 10 inches.
