Scale Model Shop

Time to get back on the horse...

Al, great to see you again

I was only wondering to myself the other day what had become of you and Smithy

I look forward to seeing your builds

Got any tracks off the album on youtube?

Good to see you again too Simon, try this

Alistair, Alistair where have you been all my life? I was asking after you last year and thought you had gone all things FB. I didn't realise you were with Smithy's crew. Big fan of your work and I'm glad you have finally joined up with the rest of the ex Military Modelling massive. I still remember that beast of a bulldozer you did a couple of years back. I hope its still out on display. Speak soon my friend

Well, yours is a new one Bob! If I could afford a Giulia, I would’ve bought one. The A5 is a proper big boy’s motor though, and I couldn’t be happier with it. At least I can drive it without that nagging suspicion that it’s all about to go horribly wrong...

3 yrs old now and like all my 9 Alfas never missed a beat! Sure you will be back lol

Hi Alistair. Welcome to the forum.
Hope that you fit in well. It seems like you already know half the members from another forum. You know the one that we all agreed was dead and gone. Deceased. No more and never to be mentioned again on this forum!
Sorry but we are a funny bunch on here. We all build models of historical icons but fight tooth and nail not to dwell in the past.

Thanks for the welcome Ian!

(I was aware that "we don't mention the old place" on here - I scrupulously avoided naming it. You can't deny that they were a friendly and lively bunch over there, and fair play to SMF for letting them move in and metaphorically rearrange the furniture and change the curtains a bit. It must have been a bit of a shock to have so many refugees...).

That is a sore point. It seemed that so many came here because they liked what they saw and thought that we where a good bunch.... Then started to do their best to change things around so it suited them better.
But that is a whole other topic.

Ian is the only funny bunch....except he’s not funny
I'll let that one die in the corner with all the other unremarkable comments. Then once a month I'll pick one at random and act accordingly depending on the depth of the scathing remarks and the psychological scar it imparts on my fragile demeanor.
