Cheers Pete.Well done Ralph.
Pete
Cheers Allen.Keep it going Ralph! We aren't going anywhere before you are casting that new rod out into the waters and waiting for the big one to bite. What are you using for a reel Sir??? I used to love Garcia Mitchell reels myself for spin casting. Don't forget, fish are greedy and love big lures. In fact, bigger lures were always better!!!
Prost

Cheers John.Ralph
Well done and good for you. There's nothing but clear water and days on the river bank ahead. Keep it going.
John
Cheers Ken.Keep at it mate, and be careful when you have given up (I've not smoked for 30 yrs, and I used to chain smoke) I still find after all this time, at a party or at a pub I still get the urge. Stay strong it's hard to start with but trust me your past the worst.
Cheers John.I stopped about 20 years ago, I decided on a day and stopped, I had been smoking for around 15 years, it was difficult and I found it really hard when I had alcohol, so I gave that up for a while, same as Ken, every now and again I still get a craving, but it’s gone in seconds.
just don’t substitute cigs for food, I put loads of weight on and have never been able to shift it.
Good luck, it does get easier.
Cheers Greg.TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF YOUR NEW YOU.... never give up....
Cheers for the support Joe.Great news Ralph, I quit years ago and have many friends who have quit in more recent times. If my muppet mates and I the chimp can do it, you're going to be fine. One day at a time, keep busy.
Cheers Chris.just don’t substitute cigs for food, I put loads of weight on and have never been able to shift it.
Good luck, it does get easier.John's quote

Cheers Dave.Ralph,
OK you've gone 5 days, the important days are the 105th day, the 205th day and so on. Once the 'novelty' of not smoking has worn off, the real difficulty starts - maintaining that determination to never smoke again. It's a drug addiction, just as much as heroin, or crack cocaine. As so many people say, you can go for years, then suddenly get that craving, you have to hold your resolve
You Will Win
Dave
Cheers for the support Ron.Ralph, I've never smoked fags or 'wacky backy', although growing up in the '60's I was offered the latter often enough!
...so I can't offer any quitting advice. All I can do is wish you all the best in your efforts to lay off smoking.
You are getting excellent advise from the lads on here, so heed the wise words on offer, dig in and beat the beast. Which I'm sure you can - No question!..... :thumb2:
