Back in the saddle Steve - great stuff. Must be quite strange having to learn to walk all over again. All of that PE wouldn't be on my menu for a speedy recovery though, I must say.

Sorry Peter, I didn't realise it had been that long!
I have been working on the track links, 3 attachments each, all 3 hinges needed filing down to fit the opposite side of the hinge, and 1/2 the tracks have had their horns drilled out.
It's taken all this time, working on a lap tray, and this is the result
I have done both sides, with all the wheels attached a'la 1:72.
I have done this with a T34/85 & have assembled all the overlapping wheels on both a Tiger I and II, previously.
I find it easier to deal with whilst painting, weathering and adding mud.
Not everyone's "cup of T" but its mine.
Also, I have removed the clamps and clasps for the tow cables, the curved ones at the bottom have had the clamp removed as the curved piece will be far superior in plastic to what can be created with flat PE, one of many times kit plastic "looks" better than PE
One done, one to do, a comparison shot.
I'll add the remaining PE parts at the end, as they are all too fragile, even with super glue, to survive the handling required to join top and tub then attach the track guards.
I shall make up the PE pieces I intent using ready for the final assembly.
I have some additional nuts to add, but my PE nuts are all in the attic, which is up a 7 step attic ladder, a little out of reach with my new knee for the moment.
Perhaps in a week or 2.
Hopefully steadier progress now, especially as some of the chaps have finished already!
I have some other stuff to share too.

It's been longer than I realised!

One point that niggled was this
I looked to find something to support its use on a Stug
I eventually found this in Achtung Pz III
And this in the Stug bible

Well organised reference library there Steve, most impressed with the research.
Of course I can't comment on your question but the built looks to be going well .
Instructions for PE some times just leave me blank ! It's easy for a designer to draw something then expect every one else to know what he meant .

Wow, down to the minutiae there Steve! Impressive stack of reference material too. Fantastic work so far.
Its a G the changed engine deck vents arrived on the last of the E's
Yes Simon roof had recessed screws

Why are you up at 4 am Simon?
The photo is a later Ausf, but it was a confirmation of the "bumpstop" on the rear mudguard.
I think the recessed roof screws will be a struggle too far, after fitting the screws in the drivers bullet splash plate, it took ages and I lost as many screw heads as I used, G'rrr!
The Muller & Zimmerman is an invaluable resource for the Stug III, just need them to print their Pz IV bible soon!
She is washed and ready for primer but its -1 C here and freezing fog, so I wont be going into the garage just yet!
Simon, The white blocks are catches for the applique armour on the side, I'll find the reference photo, its useful when you have a reasonable library of references.
Bob, do you ever wonder what will happen to your reference books when you finally pass?
I need to find a Stug III society and add them to my will LOL
Peter, Collecting reference books is as much a part of the hobby, as collecting kits, the building and painting are really only 1/2 of the hobby, and I am sure I am not the only one LOL

By the way been speaking to Peter Muller from History facts about the StuG A2, and asked about the Pz IV book. Its yet to be translated and i think its going to be a big 2 vol set, i will get it. He did not give a idea of time
