YEA you are right Peter more enjoyment of the build as I have built a big spit an not to mention its a heck of a lot cheaperI rather have a 1\24 airfix one I 'd get more enjoyment out of it.
AN YES you are also right Simon but I think these are for people who would love a spitfire but don't want to have to put much effort into building one as like in a kit like Peter was sayin but buyin one of these with the mag they will get one provided it all produced by the makersAll these part works are an overpriced waste of money in my personal opinion
Rather get a proper kit that requires modelling skills than screw/clip assembly
But that’s just me - I guess there must be plenty of people willing to buy these things or they wouldn’t be making them
YEA that's what I heard Pete that why I said in the above post if they keep makin it as people will be angry I know I would be if I bought it an they stopped you are stuck with a very exspensive half finished modelI wonder how many of these partworks ever get finished. Some years ago didn't one of the publishers stop producing the monthly parts because they didn't have enough sunscribers to make it profitable?
Pete
Agreed, I remember starting some sailing ship, made a great fire, JR would have been proud. All these part works are an overpriced waste of money in my personal opinion

That got me thinking - how many have you ever seen finished ? I haven't seen any. I really do wonder what the uptake is on one of these builds.I guess there must be plenty of people willing to buy these things or they wouldn’t be making them
The only time I would consider one of these partwork builds is if I saw a complete one on ebay (other online sites are available) and I could check if all the parts were there.I'm not sure if it's still the same but a colleague of mine was saying he got sucked into something like this years ago. They didn't even supply the parts in assembly order, so one might end up having to wait through 10 or 20 issues until the next part in the sequence is released and you can carry on building.
