Scale Model Shop

Spots on the Internet 2020

They could have made that a little more obvious — it kind of expects you to be familiar with the kit to realise what’s special about it …

Time to resurrect this one in case none of the 'newbies' has seen it: :smiling2:

What date were hydraulic pallet trucks introduced?

Quick Dr Google - they were patented back in 1939, by George Raymond and
William C House. There is also the mention of a German company operated by
a Mr Gutsman - who eventually fled Germany and set up a company in U.K
manufacturing similar equipment.

The ones pictured are obviously the modern versions.

Paul.

Those look just like the ones I used at Tesco in the mid 1970’s. Not that modern.

Not a clue how to post web details but
Among new Takom releases for April/May is YES i know a StuG G Early. Should be more accurate than Tamiya! Never built Takom but will get this, no surprise then!

I have just been trawling through the UK retail model shops, a lot don't mention the coronavirus, and a few say 'shop closed, but mail order working' The only shop that seems to be closed is Model Hobbies - they say "We are currently closed due to the current pandemic. All orders that have already been placed will be processed as normal." implying that they aren't accepting further orders, but that could just be my interpretation!
Mail Order is now the only way to get new stuff ( I've been doing this for the past five years ), so if anyone knows any info about closed/open/mail order only, please share any information
Dave

I placed an order with Hannants yesterday which they say has been dispatched, and in the normal timely manner.

Model Hobbies have revised their website - 'open as usual' - Jadlam said in an emailshot that they were trading 'as normal'
I see that the Airfix 1/48 Tiger Moth has appeared on the shelves
