Marder 1

Bit of debate, is this the old Pz 111 with new bits or a new kit? Me thinks its a new one and two for the stash ;):thumb2:

For all the Stug lovers ( yes, I know you're a minority!! )
Heh, I came across that yesterday and wondered if I should post it on here for Bob’s enjoyment, but eventually decided against it :)

You mean the old Panzer IV kit, right?

On the Rye Field Model Facebook page - no further info

It would seem that all the market research done by all makers has produced the same results! T-34 & Panzer III models are what the modelmaker wants! Competition - OK, but surely there's only a finite number of, say, T-34 models to be sold, splitting it between several manufacturers reduces the number each individual maker sells. I'm sure it makes sense to someone, but it doesn't to me!

One time when I was in the USA, I was asked by an acquaintance of mine, as we were driving along some American road with a whole bunch of fast-food places grouped together: “Do you know why they’re all in the same place? Because McDonald’s does extensive research into what the best location is, and when they build a restaurant there, everybody else does too.”

I wonder if the same thing is going on here.

So what happened to the T34 signed off by Igor Atank from Factory 138 on July 27, 1943 at 0838 hours? Seems like there's a kit of every other T34 ever made, so what's this one done to upset the manufacturers?

On the HK website - 1/32 Avro Lancaster B Mk.I Nose Art Kit (01E033), seems a bit steep at $75.00 on website here
Looking at the renders it looks stunning, I'll wait for in box reviews before commenting on the price but it looks not too far off.

Suyata?! Never heard of them!
Surely there's got to be some sort of copyright infringement?

Looks like it was done by a beginner to 3D animation - like the video of 'Walk of Life' by Dire Straits!, last century!

Money for Nothing :)

Walk of Life is the video with things like basketballers falling over each other.

And the kit looks like a parody to me, in which case there is no question of copyright infringement: parody is generally allowed under copyright laws.

And Suyata appear to be Chinese, well known for its protection of copyright and IP........

Maybe the two companies are actually linked? The way manufacturers nowadays are putting other company moulds in their own boxes - clearly with permission - I suppose it's a possibility.
