Knew I had seen this thread...I have had some seriously cheeky offers accepted on Ebay from China on brand new kits. Delays on postage, bit saving a fair bit when prepared to wait.
Well Jack I've done the same on a figure set I can't get here. It's supposed to be on its way from somewhere in China and due to arrive in October !

I've had stuff get here from china in about 2 months, arrived mid-week.
Given up hope on the stuff from Russia though.........

I've had a few ebay early hours of the morning purchases from China and surrounding areas - nice surprise when they turn up a month or two later having forgotten about them :smiling5:

One recent arrival was a Trumpeter SAM-6 1/35 for £15

Evening Simon, I'll have to find something else to do while those I've ordered turn up I think .

Know how you gents feel, I've had stuff on back order for over a month now and most of it won't be here till sometime after November.

If you buy kits from China on evilbay and they take longer than 60 days to arrive, how does that cover you against returns or 'lost' kits? I thought Paypal and evilbay had a 60 days policy to raise issues under?

They do, I have claimed against non-delivery, gotten a refund, then the item arrives. So I have to sheepishly approach the seller and offer to pay them, even stuff from the UK has had this issue once or twice.
(I missed the deadline on the Russsian stuff.)

No, I usually have a note under items I'm waiting for from China with a date to claim on, but until recently stuff normally come pretty quickly. None delivery normally meant the parcel had fell apart somewhere, those cheap postal bags.........normally model related kit is better packed though.

So have you tried to put a claim in after the 60 days?
No Alan , but I have a claim in, They say this .... Want to resolve this issue quickly? We suggest that you work with the seller directly to resolve any issues with your purchase amicably, on or before 14 August 2020 at 11:20:36 BST.

I can't do anything until the seller writes back, of course this Virus is a great thing to hide behind with late replies. I shall give them 14 days and ask for a full refund and claim for the postage. You can have I think up to 12 returns per year.

Sellers are reluctant to give refunds as they lose their sellers fees, and what they paid for postage.
And PayPal now keep a portion of their fees when they used to fully refund those.

Well paypal are owned by evilbay so there is no surprise that they take as much fees as they can. Daylight robbers imho

I thought they had parted ways a few years ago. But could be a tax dodge thing......
