Nice car Ken, but not a nice way to get it. I do hope your wife is ok.

Yes I agree on both counts (though I do prefer the colour of the old car)(I say old car it was only 4 yrs old)

Has that got the HID headlamps Ken, or LED? Mine's a Titanium X with HID, and a failed headlamp cost me about £900!

Led headlamps (I still think they would be expensive to replace) we still have 2 yrs and 2 months warranty so hopefully not a problem

Mine has xenons and led, do not know price, too afraid to ask lol

2 yrs and 2 months warranty

Lovely looking car that one!! :thumb2::thumb2:
Check the small print tho, consumables sometimes aren't covered !! :flushed:
Purchased a new-ish Transit recently - tyre alarm kept illuminating on the dash.
Back to the dealer 3 times - still under warranty - cost me £200 on the 4th visit :anguished:
Tyre's and the valves are not covered ?? :crying::crying:

Paul.

Nice Festa Ken, hope the better half is ok?
We upgraded last year to 18 plate... why not? Nice blue Peugeot 308, 1.2, 130bhp, goes like the clappers! Only another 4 years to pay for it :loudly-crying:

I use candles Bob.

I bet you've got a bloke walking in front of your car with a red flag... Old git! :tears-of-joy::blow-kiss-2:

Hi Lee, made me smile. I normally employ "Rivet " Jones for such purposes. :smiling3::smiling3::smiling3:

Pam is ok thanks, took her a couple of days to get behind the wheel again, I really loved the old car and I think they are too quick to write them off these days. Apparently there was a lot of damage behind what you can see, for instance you couldn't open the rear door.

A nice looking Fiesta with lots of gadgets to play with. I'm just wondering about the the 'other' driver, wasn't on the phone was she ?

Sounds like the chassis was knocked off square, some places will pull a chassis back into shape and sell the car on, but insurance will write them off straight away if the doors cant open/close or if there is any "rippling" in the roof panel. Though they may still decide it's "damaged repairable" and put it up for sale as such recouping some of their costs.

We're starting to get some of those new shape Fiestas through at work, nice bits of kit with plenty of toys.

Glad to hear that your wife is okay, and got back in the saddle pretty quickly, it's important.

My wife had a major shunt a few years back, partially underneath a lorry then spun out sideways across the M1. The roof crushed the passenger seat to the floor but somehow she got out uninjured. The Paramedics even ran past her when they arrived on scene as they couldn't believe anyone could have gotten out of the car alive, let alone be walking around taking details from witnesses! :smiling5:

We got her straight into a hire car after she'd been released from hospital that afternoon. I had to ride shotgun for a few days as she was still a bit shaky, but we felt it was essential to get her back driving as soon as possible.

I and pam think she was on the phone at the time. Her car was undriveable (front end damage no steering) my wife rang her phone to check if it was a bogus number and couldn't hear it when pam asked her where her phone was she said she didn't have it with her, yet 15 mins later her insurance company was on the phone to pam telling her their client had admitted liability and they would be dealing with it.
