Been thinking about saying there would be no fire , but having seen some recent photos taken from the air the majority of German factories were so heavily bombed that there is little chance that this one would have escaped either bombing or shelling .
This therefore means a complete build and then damage, with the remains of fire damage, so Rick, Lee and Richard you better be ready !

Stand by, buildings and base time. Had a good day cutting out the buildings and roofing card, that will be covered later in corrugated sheets. All taken down now ready for scribing.
Base stone sets done, tomorrow expert to get a little done on the walls, that's going to take some time scribing the bricks.




This was the updated base with the additional 65 mm approx insulation slab on. Note the cut away at the top right .


This is where the water will be.



This was yesterdays and todays result. Id cut some of the wall out yesterday but they needed rear supports



Quite a lot , but this will ensure it stay upright .



Roofing card cut to the angle of the base.



All section marked and ready to take the front paper off , then cut out windows and scribe the brick work.

Spent a couple of hrs doing the stone sets.




PLeased with the first part, the river edge has been done in stone including 3 outfall pipes, need to put some drains in tomorrow.

Thanks Joe. Use either a pencil ferrule with the erazor removed, or the brushes.Then shaped with a pair of long nosed pliers. Occasionally clean up the edge with a file.


Different sizes , also have some bare ferrules that can be worked into shape.

Yes most certainly Andrew, its quite hard to ignite the fire , take a photo and spray the water all at once.:smiling3:

Today I tapped all the sections in line , then marked out the windows and doors. Pin pointed the corners of the openings, I might make up a template for each window size and mark around that again before cutting .

Tomorrow the cutting will begin and then the paper will be removed, prior to the brick work. That alone is going to take some time.

Kind of you to say Neil, David Neat explained how to make them in his blog from the 4 D model shop. Have to say trying to alter a round ferrule in to an oblong at the size of a scale brick is not the easiest of things, mine was more by luck than judgement !

Evening all.
Today removed the paper after cutting the window and door openings.Then started the long marking out of the bricks pattern. Managed 3 sections of the building of all courses but with out any vertical marks before the eye started to blur. At this point I decided enough was enough and packed up.
Working with the headset on measuring 3mm lines and trying to keep them straight is slow work, easy but tiring because your fixed on one distance. Then I forget to blink ! Ending up with dry eye. Put the lube in and relaxed.
Will carry on tomorrow and include some photos.
