No, just getting a sore head from banging it against a wall - it will work out (you've got a lot of information/experience on this forum, plenty of help, and a lot of support - I can't help, but you'll have my support!)

The work continues, albeit at a slow pace and I gave the engine cases a blast with flat aluminium and fitted the cam belts.

Having the belts was a nice touch but a waste of time as they are buried forever when you fit the cam belt cover.

At least I know they are fitted and I also got the rear shock and linkage done and it works.

Now I am busy with lots of fuel tubing around the injector system and hope to have that done tomorrow.

Don't really know why Protar put working internal details in - at least you don't have to build the camshafts/valves - or do you?
That rear suspension looks fiddly.

The rear shock is a bit of a pain as you have to glue the 2 halves together without getting the piston stuck and all that while fighting the tension of the spring, having 3 hands would be a help. :smiling5:

Suppose there is some one who would want to show the bike in the shop being worked on, hence the cambelt ?
Still what ever reason it's looking fine, esp the three handed section :smiling:

Yes, remember having to do similar with the front forks of the speedway bike - think that I ended up using clothes pegs as 'vices'

The instructions show installing the engine, rear suspension with chain and also the exhausts fitted to the frame all at the same time, that would be about as much funs as walking barefoot and blindfolded through a room with a scattering of Lego bricks on the floor. I am sure with a bit of forethough/ lateral thinking an easier way can be found.

Yes, having restored one or two bikes in the past I am looking for the easy way to do it, unfortunately kit makers do not think the same as bike manufacturers when it comes to building them from a pile of bits.

I see in the photo a seam line on the fork leg but it will never be seen under the fairing, I hope.
Frame halves painted up and exhaust done, bit of a fiddle with non-stick decals but managed with thinned PVA.

You deserve a medal for you patience with that chain.Builds looking good and that paddock stand you scratched is really good. I love motorbikes I should build one someday. Here's mine 1:1 scale.

I have done a bit of a test fit, luckily no glue used as another couple of problems have arisen one of which can be easily overcome.

With the frame together the airbox will not fit so I will have to unscrew the front frame fixing and spread the frame to get the airbox in. Something else that looks wrong is the chain. I tested the length before and it was too tight to fit so I fitted another link and now it seems to be too long, not an easy fix.
