Well what a night i've had!

Had my 2nd jab yesterday, no problems. Went to bed, zzzzzz woke up about 2 30 ish having trouble breathing, noticed a large blister on my tongue at its rear close to my throat, it looked full of blood, urgh:confounded:

Panic stations, phoned 111 told them i had the jab and what i had found and told to get to my local ER asap, they would ring ahead, thankfully only a few minutes drive from home.

Went straight in to see a doc, he applied heat via a quite hot water drink and it burst, instant relief!! Horrible taste!

He said they are quite common but my beauty was large and starting to block my throat and air ways. He did not think it was related to the jab but to check the old cake hole every few hours, so far nothing.

So my modeling plans for today, down the pan, bugger, at least i can breathe !!

Hope that you soon feel better - had my 2nd yesterday, and now starting with the headaches again (had them for about a fortnight with the 1st), not debilitating, just annoying.

Glad to hear youre ok now bob, i bet you were bricking it! Im no doctor but it sounds to me like the beginnings of a Stug allergy ? ;):smiling5:

Nasty! Hope you’re OK now mate. To be honest, if he told me it wasn’t related to the jab I’d have asked him what it was related to.....after all, it’s not something you want to repeat in a hurry!

There must have been some scary s**t for you Bob. Glad you are through the worst of it mate. Look after yourself

I'm sitting in my car now after just having my first jab, should have done it weeks ago!
All the best.

Much better Tim, thanks. Looked on google as you do, and they can appear on your gums, tongue at any time, normally just a pain but like my bugger can be larger and start to block air ways. Will be checking from now on!

Hi Steve, oh yes! I have some issues with breathlessness but not like that. Glad it was quickly stopped, at least i know what to do if i get another!

Hi Mark, get it done, from what i was told and read its nothing to do with the jab

Hi Bob
Scarey but sorted now. I had my second jab a couple of weeks ago. No problems with the first but just felt "off it" for 24hrs after the second.
Take it easy for a few days.
Jim

Had my first jab last week. Was fine until the next day where i then proceeded to have hot/cold shivers and a banging head. Arm was like lead too. But i would do it all again because it is FAR better then the alternative of contracting the virus.

Your not wrong! I had the virus just after Xmas and it wasn't pleasant, headache, loss of smell and taste (that was really weird) sore skin ,eyes hurt and every part from the waist down I could barley move with pain!

Glad to hear that you're okay.

I felt distinctly ropey for about 36 hours after my first jab (AZ) but had a much better time after the second. Just a bit off colour for a few hours, really the rest of the day after I'd had it. I did get a sore arm with both.

Had a call from my doctor

He has assured me that it is common but very rare that it causes blockages.

Caused by the skin being damaged, the blood vessels open and a protective skin then forms to protect the area, this then fills up with blood. Can be caused by a very hot drink, even sharp crisps!!

Thanks all, much appreciate the support and message

Oh forgot, doc said a good StuG kit or book is a good get well cure!

Did Her Indoors hear that? If so the Stug Fairy may yet pay a visit!
