Latest Acquisitions (2021)

I have the Tamiya album, that I took that photo from. I also have a couple of the Verlinden Way books, but if this diorama appeared in an issue of those, then it’s not in the ones I own. But I recognise the figures next to the tank as the Flak crew in winter uniforms that Tamiya released.
I originally owned the original Tamiya special" The selected diorama works of Francois Verlinden",I had it aged 13 in 1982 and it was tattered by my constant thumbing. My modelling bible indeed.

This one?

That’s the one I took the picture of, with the two photos of the diorama :smiling3:
Yes thats the one Jakko.I.loved it in my teens.Maybe you could scan some pics from it for me sometime.I need to get back into modelling.and Mr.V still my.idol.

I remember '82 - would have preferred it to have been 'the Summer of '69' though! Mind you, at this age going back to age 13 and trying again would be fun!

At under two weeks and the pair of them for £19 delivered, that's pretty good going!

Had the chance to drop in to the Aviation Megastore near Amsterdam airport today and came away with these. The Widget and Piasecki weren’t on the shopping list but the resin Phantom set was.

Hi Bob
I bought one of those Seam Tools a few years ago at Telford and find it useful in all sorts of situations.

Not inc slippers lol, will sell for cash lol

Always used Tamiya cutters but often cut to close and damaged the part, especially Trumpeter plastic or miles away!

Very impressed, used today on the smaller parts of Tashkent and it cuts very close, no part took off, no stress on the part and almost no sanding and just a gentle squeeze to cut. Great packaging. Good investment!

Nice one Bob. Keep us informed……I’ve been tempted several times by these…..

I bought a pair of those a while back and in my opinion they are worth their weight in gold, makes snipping tiny parts of the sprue a piece of cake with nothing flying off to feed the carpet monster.

Andy.
