What a cheapskate, £2 35, plastic vernier

Will use to measure ship railing lengths, well that's the plan!

HI Derek looks to be a nice build will it be on seascape or just static an how big is it an i will be following your build
chris
She will be a static, length roughly 25” just over 4” beam. This will go in my stash for the time being.

Looked at this for the sea stash but not cheap, look forward to the build!
I got it for a decent price, I don’t build at a fast rate Bob, I just stumbled across this for sale online and they were able to send it to me out here on Crete without having to pay any duties etc. I will build this once I finish my current project, which at the rate I’m going will be quite a while, need to pull my finger out.

It's about £199 in the UK, but waiting for very fire to do the Vanguard in 1 350. Do not know why there are not more of the IJN battleships, battlecruisers made for reasonable prices by Trumpeter etc The ones you can get are a rip off

I paid the equivalent of £180 including p+p coming from Germany so no import taxes/ duties we now have to pay on items sent from the UK since brexit.

Not that cheap Bob. I only paid a fiver for my Mitutoyo vernier second hand. Mind you, that was about thirty years ago LOL….

Blimey!!
That's a LOT of money for a kit !! ... I suppose if it's a "dedicated" love for a subject then,"GET ON"!! ;)
Myself,I bulk at paying more than £25 for a kit these days... (And to be honest,I prefer to haggle on auction sites to try and get a real bargain!!)...
That could well be helped by the fact that over the previous years I've built up a decent stash mind?!!
Andy
(Lovely ship kit that is BTW !! ;) )
