I’ve got (I think) eight other books from the same series, so I know what I’m getting, and first impressions are that they maintain the quality of the earlier parts. Both have been in my library for years........priceless wealth of knowledge within. Enjoy Jakko :smiling:

"Prepped for the Super Bowl"...HI all
So I'll post some of my pictures of the Shuttleworth model show later this week, no time tonight as I need to get myself prepped for the Super Bowl - and yes I do have the day off work tomorrow!
I was very restrained and didn't buy any kits at the show but still brought home two as the club secretary gave Junior the below Zvedza Pak 40 and one of the other club members offered me the below Airfix kit......my wife just rolled her eyes!!

Thanks Steve. Unfortunately I was looking for my little blokes, and they have nothing in my size, but they look good all the same. Only thing I thought after looking again is how do you wrap them around a flagpole? Are they for aerial recognition use only?Hi Tim

Have fun Steve, if you need advice on figure painting just shout out…..best thing I can say is take your time. A decent figure in the bigger scales takes as long as painting a tank or aircraft….
Still don’t quite get the flags, by the way. I’ve made loads, both home made and purchased, for the little blokes over the years, and they are normally double sided like yours. However, the fold always comes at the flagpole. Yours seem to fold at the edge away from the flagpole? I’m probably having a thick day, so don’t worry about it, but it’s interesting![]()
Thanks Rick, I have always thought that it was an amazing looking car.Nice Lotus!
Purely for interest the flagpole/jackstaff side of the flag/ensign is termed 'the hoist' and the opposite side 'the fly'. If you use very fine fuse wire, or similar, you can press down your carefully positioned and centred flag after folding around the wire, attach it to the pole with CA and you can then allow the flag to distance itself from the pole and 'wrinkle' realistically! Thanks Tim
and D'oooh big style!
I see what you mean now I've looked at the US flag!
There is nothing anywhere on the interweb as to why, but the easy solution and what probably happened in real life is to put the "pole/proper end" of the flag on to a lanyard and attach it to whatever you wish and then cut the flag to length.
There is also plenty of spare cotton material for more homemade flags too.
It was trying to stencil/mask/hand paint the hammer, sickle and star that put me off the DIY route!
I'll be looking at your figure work once the dust is off the brushes and the serious stuff starts:anguished:
Thanks again Tim
