Well, 28 hours without heat, light, and phone access has just ended….we don’t even have mobile coverage at home. Spent the day reading in front of a log fire….
Despite that, Useless Eustace failed to break our spirit. Even the glass panes it blew out of the greenhouse didn’t break.
Yah boo sucks to you low pressure

Hi Tim
Glad you're ok and have come through it with your sense of humour intact.
Jim

Add the brandy, pipe and slippers and that sounds like a pretty reasonable way to spend the day lol.

Yep, me too to be honest Jim. Living in the sticks power cuts happen occasionally in the winter. We are pretty well kitted out, with plenty of torches, a good fireplace, and a back up calor gas stove in the kitchen. It was quite impressive really though, never had a power outage of that long before. We went out to a pub for our evening meal last night. Some of the trees that we saw felled were huge.

Not a bad day really Mark, though pretty damn cold after the heating was off for that long. ‘Er indoors went into the garden and did some late winter pruning….now that’s really not for me….

Good to know you've weathered the storm, Tim. These low pressures seem to create havoc. We had one near Christmas that flooded large areas around us.

Cheers,
Richard

Compared to tropical stuff it was pretty small beer really Richard. The trouble is the utility companies have always taken the easy way out and strung power cables above ground. Up there they are easy meat for falling trees and high winds. I’m really glad I wasn’t on one of the repair crews though, they must be flat out at the moment….

Cojones or cahoonas Tim. Kohinoors sounds like someone already has the pointy thing stuck in them. :tears-of-joy: :tears-of-joy:

Cheers,
Richard
