Hi all,

As my dad mentioned before, I will be attempting to complete this kit for the Soviet Group Build by myself.

Below are pictures of the box, instructions and sprue. As you can probably see this is just a simple quick-build wargaming kit.

Hi Junior,

I'm with Peter on this. You'll be fine and do the kit proud. Front seat here and...............Wait a minute, shouldn't you be in school at this time of day????..........Only joking............

Hi Junior
That's a good choice. These build up into great models. I like the wheels and tracks being one piece. A good idea at this scale. It does make painting a little fiddly however.

Hi, good to have you in the group build, enjoy the build and have fun :thumb2:

Hi again all,

This is where I got to this morning.

There was some flash but easy to get rid of and I had to remove the muzzle brake from the gun barrel because the Mark IX has a six pounder, which doesn't have a muzzle brake.

Nice one junior! Good start.
It doesn't matter how simple a kit is. It's the enjoyment of the build that counts.

Hi Junior
Looks a nice neat build. Well done. With you being on half term and with this rotten weather it's the perfect time to model.
Jim

Great start junior. Those PSC kits are fun to build, and it looks like your enjoying yourself already :thumb2:

This is the update,

The build is now finished, the commander was not made for the turret I used so I had to cut his legs off and add a base inside. My dad then primed it using a Halfords rattle can to keep it quick and simple.

Looking very nice there Junior .....
It appears you've inherited the "1/72nd gene" from your Dad ! ;)
A nice bit of alteration going on to get more accuracy - well done on that front too !
I look forward to seeing your progress with the paint :)
Good stuff!
Andy

Hi Junior
What a great job you're making of this. Always nice to get a coat of primer on, somehow pulls the whole thing together.
Jim

Sorry I missed the start Junior.
Your making a fine job by the looks of things. Keep it up .

They look like great little models, nice work junior
Hello again,

Thanks for the support, it has been fun so far and I'm glad your enjoying it.

I just need to decide the paint scheme now. I also need to have a look at what colours to paint the commander.

Junior.

Keep it coming there Junior........very nice, my early experiences with model building were all my own....dad was always too busy to worry about my ventures into scale modeling. You are very lucky to have a father who is interested in seeing you do well at what you enjoy. :thumb2: Rick H.
