The Wife got this Kit for me back in January. I started it right away but lost interest for reasons untold. Today I found it and the decals I ordered for it while cleaning the Model room I totally forgot about them and the build. So I revisited the build today and re-worked a lot of mistakes I made back in January. Here’s some pics of what I did in January. I’ll be adding some Aftermarket exhaust from a Spitfire also along with aftermarket decals. 47AE8423-6145-4D78-9B9E-C79D466FF12F.jpeg3B2FCAD1-CDFD-4BF5-A477-DE6829D7B03B.jpeg30FF8FFF-5238-431A-935A-6A9E5B2D7018.jpegE5E9C072-84EE-48F7-9C82-E1141DB6322B.jpeg9E0E7223-A6FC-4AF2-B022-E1C41BC1AF21.jpeg941396DA-DB46-44C4-A9A9-9123BC0EBF54.jpeg57479305-012E-446E-97B4-F508439F1B14.jpeg

Looking good Lee. Like Tim I really should build one, as I'm sure I didn't do one in my youf!

Looking good so far mate,

Can't see much wrong. For such an iconic plane we don't see that many Mustangs built. Looking forward to the rest of the build.

Andrew, Andy, Jim, Jean. Thanks for the complements. Maybe late Summer after all the current GBs are over I might start a Mustang GB.

Jim.
I left a lot of mold lines and “Gaps” in this thing very sloppy work on my part and I was trying to paint it in between Snow showers lol. I’ve repainted it now and fixed my mistakes the best I could.

I'd be up for that Lee :)

That's really nice progress Lee....I'd be interested in a Mustang GB as I have several 1-87 scale kits in the "stash" :thumb2:

Rick. I really appreciate the complement I’m having fun with this. I would like to start a Mustang GB and would be glad to have you. I’ll probably try to get one started then.

I'm in Buddy.......just let me know when you kick it off and I'll be there.......might just do a whole "Squadron"!!

I’ve always wanted to do one as well, so I’d definitely be interested….could we leave it until the autumn though? We’ve got the Spitfire and Mosquito GBs coming up, and the little blokes don’t paint themselves…..

Ok my friend. The dates I’m going to chose will be August-October. I will start a suggestion GB thread the first day of July. Looking forward to having you and your squadron of Baa Baa Black Sheeps. Oops wrong plane. Lol

Be glad to have you Tim like I told Rick I’m going to have it August-October after some of these GBs are over. I didn’t want to have it through the Holidays people get so busy. Will this time frame work?
