Yes and was later sunk at the battle of Java sea against the Japanese.Wasn't it involved in The Platte River Battle?
Interesting subject. Looks a little “short run” in execution, but nothing that can’t be easily sorted out. I assume the round base is some sort of naval or fortification mounting? On the MikroMir Facebook page - new release.............

I think the round base is a diorama base, the oblong mount sitting on topInteresting subject. Looks a little “short run” in execution, but nothing that can’t be easily sorted out. I assume the round base is some sort of naval or fortification mounting?
Interesting twenty minutes browsing around finding out a bit more. I knew about Dictator, the 13 inch mortar used at the siege of Petersburg. The oblong base looks very like the siege base in the box illustration Dave, and is similar to the Petersburg installation, though smaller.I think the round base is a diorama base, the oblong mount sitting on top

As you say Dave, brilliant artwork. Amongst the best I have seen. Not a plane I'd heard of so had to look it up.On the Dora Wings Facebook page - boxart for their 1/48 Vultee Vengeance Mk.I
