Hello Steve,
Still sorting out the meds etc, soon to have a scan. One of the crew dropped a jerry can full of fuel through the open hatch of a 432 and onto the small of my back. The initial diagnosis is that at the time it was a small fracture of the spine, repaired itself over time and now arthritis has set in, ignored as just a bad back etc, and carried on as usual, now it has decided to raise its ugly head. so will wait for the results from the scan.
Still managing to get to the bench on the good days for an hour or so.
So more later.

As the others have said I hope they can get something positive from the scan to help you. The scratch building is absolutely superb.

An excellent job scratch building the frames. I hope the scans result in some treatment that helps. As Steve says there is nothing more draining than back pain.

Update,
Here are the pics of the rear support that I missed out on the last update....
As I said before all that is now required are the rubber 'feet' and the guides each side of the Antennae tower.
Next it was the turn of the launching frames at the front and did show them under construction - here is where I am at the moment....
Cemented in place and ready for the weld beads to be added. You can also see the rear of the first stage piston, this is not fixed in place yet as there is still some cleaning up to do and a spacer each side of the pivot box.
All that needs to be done next is the hydraulic tubing to be added using the excellent drawings provided by The Tank Museum staff who deserve a big thank you for their help...
And that is where I am today. Hopefully I can get the launching system to work without breaking something - but that is for the future.

Update,
Many thanks for all of the comments including the bird :tears-of-joy:..... A start has been made on the hydraulic pipes and it will be a swap between the next part of the launch frame and piping as the two will need to come together as the build progresses.
Those of you with eagle eyes will notice that the frames seem to have changed sides, you are not mistaken. I did not realise untill I started to get ready to add the weld seams that I did in fact cement the frames on the wrong sides, the cross frame should in fact aim outwards - all corrected now.

Hello Steve,
The frame is really solid, and the hinge pins are doing their job. The plan :tired: is to build up a jig and turn the hull upside down and spray the underside first in both primer and top coat, then to paint the top side after. The actual fun will be adding the tracks, which I hope can be achieved while in the upside down position (the model, not me!!!). The launch arm can I hope be moved to allow spraying and of course the bridge itself will be a seperate item added after painting. I will of course refer to this answer when it comes time to add paint, as i am sure sheer panic will have set in by the time I reach the painting stage :upside

Update,

Here you can see the frame and the knuckle joint for the ram in place along with the jig to give me the correct spacing and angle. The outer frame is basically a square except that the cross member at the right (top pic) and left (lower pic) is there to add strength and hold it square...
And here it is well on the way to completion, the ram has been made up with some of the detail added. This ram fits under the hull front lower glacis plate with the hinge points to the left and right at the end of the frame nearest the ram. The jig has been removed and is no further use as to remove it required it be cut in half, so if I mess up this one then it is back to square one and the padded room. More later.
