I know you and Junior are probably underway to the show and I wish I could go to it too. Can I ask a favor of you if I may? While walking around, if should you happen to see a stand from Zoukei Mura, From Japan, could you have a chat and ask them if (or when) they plan to re-release their SWS11 kit of the FW Ta152 H-0 in 1/32??? Thank you very much and I hope you and Junior have a great time my friend!!! Oh, and maybe grab some pics too, if possible.................

Did consider flying to Brum and getting one of you lot to pick me up.
I drive a hell of a lot for work,and I must admit the shine has gone right off it,I now think of it as a chore too.

I'm in the same boat as Ian. From Bamberg to the show, is about 1400 kms, one way. I love to drive, but don't own a car anymore. Just a tick too far for my old butt to pedal on my bicycle too!!!............

Arrived about an hour ago..... It's. BONKERS!!!! No idea where to start.....
Just checked the traders list.... Unfortunately no ZM trade stand. Will try to grab some pictures.
What a pity. In previous years (not last year) ZM had the best stall on the show. I will be there next year and hope they return.
It is Barry, but I did find out that they have re-released some of their kits. The Ta 152 A-0, SWS11, is one of them. I'm not a dedicated wing thingy builder, but this kit is a must-have. Now I need to find out who ordered it here in Germany. I would love to go to Telford next year, but it's just too far for me...

So I got a lot of photos but then the phone battery finally ran out.....but by then it was just after 5:30 I'd photo'd most of the stands and Junior had finally run out of steam after 7 hours. Fortunately a clear run back meant we were back home by just after 7:30
Rather shockingly I didn't buy a thing....at least at the show. I did win something on eBay last night! :smiling:
Unfortunately didn't manage to catch-up with any of the guys on here.:disappointed2:
I'll upload some pics tomorrow if I get a chance!!

So I thought I'd add a sample of the 276 photos I took yesterday here, rather than start a new thread.
However, for those of you though that have never been - it was my first trip - I thought I'd spend a bit of time setting the scene first.
It's held at Telford's International Centre, in three large halls. If I'm honest it's not quite as big I thought given comments I've seen/heard but perhaps that's a good thing!!! Because my first reaction once I worked out the layout was...."Where do I start????"....it's Bonkers!!!
There were plenty of trade stalls and a huge number of club stands, including a surprisingly large number from all over Europe. I certainly heard a fair number of people talking in languages other than English. Kotare Models even made it over from New Zealand.
The scrums in the morning around the trade stalls and especially around those "one man" operations selling second hand kits was something to behold....we got there at 10:30 to see more than one person leaving with purchases! It only started at 10!!
There certainly seemed to a lot of social activity with old friends catching up but I'm still very new to the model show scene and whilst I managed to catch up with a few people from my club I didn't manage to meet up with anyone on here....:sad-face:
In addition to the main show, there were a few seminars in a side room and so Junior and I attended one on the U2 spy plane for something different and to take the weight off our feet
In the end we had a general 'mooch' around before lunch to work out what was where, especially the trade stands, and then afterwards tried to systematically do all the club tables. I managed to do most of them before my phone battery and Junior ran out of power. I can't complain though as we had seven hours there and Junior genuinely seemed to enjoy it.....I now kind of understand why some people do both days but one was enough for both of us.
Oh and just to confirm I didn't buy a thing......and even more shockingly the traffic was very good both there and back!!!
Anyway enough waffle and onto the pictures. Below are a select few in no particular order!! I'll do a second post with a few more pics and without the waffle.

As you can imagine, this got a lot of interest.............
Just for @Bobthestug.....
Our club secretary is currently scratch-building building all three TOG prototypes......the tracks are 3D printed as are some other parts e.g. exhausts. He's currently working on TOG II.
And just proving you can have fun in this hobby!!

Thanks for sharing Andrew it looks like you had a good go at getting to every thing. Even though you missed a lot. Great Photos and the Album on Flicker is good too if some have not looked.

Wow Andrew, it looks like it was a fantastic show!!! With 3 rooms and so much to see, it's no wonder Junior was worn out. Thank you so much for posting the pics here and on flickr. Also, thanks for checking out if ZM was present. A big surprise that you didn't buy anything though. Bet you go next year for sure........

Evening gents!! You're welcome....I can't offer much in the way of advice to most of you in terms of experience you don't have, so it's my way of giving something back to the group!
Neil - that's quite a coincidence. When I get a bit more time I'll do a bit more reading up on it.
Ian - I'm a bit miffed with myself to be honest. I had thought about taking my decent digital SLR but didn't for some reason, which is a shame because there were some good kits in Hall 3, which I had just started in when the battery died.....and you're right about Ron, that is right up his street!
Tim - That rear gunner must have been very miffed...not to mention wet!! :smiling5: I can imagine some very uncomplimentary comments about Les Munro's flying skills after they landed!!
Allen - it was. I did wonder if we'd only spend a few hours there but nope!! Junior did very well but every so often he'd wander off to take a break somewhere away from the crowds. As for the lack of purchases, it wasn't a completely wasted trip....keep an eye out on the Latest Additions thread for later in the week!!
