Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2022)

Yeah Allen, Close....but no Cigar, as they say. Not keen on Sci Fi models either, But I do enjoy the Star Wars series of "flicks"......so I will build it at some point. Glad it is only 1/72 scale.......Ill have to find a place to display it when finished so the "kids" can have a look see at the end result. ;)
Lots of scope for weathering there Rick. Fill yer boots!

Right Tim!.......how 'bout sending me one of yer "Yard Goblins" to ride "Shotgun" in the R2 position? :tears-of-joy:

Bought this for sensible money.

It's supposed to be a good kit. (2010 new tool)

Plenty of internal bits. An option of a kit with basic internals would have been nice. I can't understand folks who go to loads of trouble fitting out the interior, only to button it all up completely out of sight. Never to be seen again.....To each his or her own, though.

I will either leave the majority of stuff off, or fix everything and then hack one side of the fuselage about to reveal the detail.

Hi all

So following on from my mystery arrival...I ordered this masking set, which of course gives you an what the general subject matter is but I don't won't to completely give the game away until the big day!

If you do manage to work out what it is please don't say!

My brain hurts! Not a scooby

This builds up into a brilliant X-wing, did one a few years ago, and it's still on of my favourite builds..I'm sure there's pics on here somewhere..
Also this has always bugged me about The Rise Of Skywalker, earlier in the films...the last jedi I think, Luke uses the wing from his X-wing as a door for his hut on Ahch-To, (they even show you a view of it whilst it's underwater minus said wing), and yet in the last film Ray managed to fly the same ship with no missing wing....

If that’s the only thing that bugs you about episodes 7–9, you are one lucky moviegoer…

This morning the post room here at Race Towers were having a early morning sleep when suddenly steps of the postman woke them up.
A mad rush to the door revealed

Thanks to the suggestion I'll be fully armed next time with new CA .
Now raining :crying:
Is that the loctite talked in my kgv thread??

Oh yes, they are excellent Andrew

"You're a very naughty boy!!"

Trying to lead me astray!!! I mean really, I thought you were a friend!!!!!..... There I was having had a good idea about what I want for Christmas and then you go and recommend them..... How could you???

You might as well have put them in my Amazon basket and pressed 'Buy'!!! ;) :smiling5:

In all seriousness though I have heard nothing but good things about them. Definitely food for thought.

Wandering through the local Aldi this morning and they have their Christmas stock going in and it included a big stack of Airfix aircraft, would have been rude not to.

Brushes are always useful, but what do you do with the paints?

Hi all

So as some of you know I came back from Telford empty handed, I was looking for an airbush MAC valve but couldn't find one. I mentioned this to our club secretary at the show, at which point he said he might have one.

Anyway at last night's meeting he brought this for me....and as he was gifted it for free, he did likewise for me! :smiling3::smiling3:

This one comes with a built in quick release and means I don't need a separate one, so don't have stupidly long 'handle' underneath.

And.... There are only 4 jets that i`m interested in building,.... an A10,ME262,Phantom,and a Jaguar.........
IMG20221122161633.jpgThe one`s i`ve seen previously have been too expensive for my mind, read some decent reviews about this one,a Hasegawa rebox with new decals apparently ,(including some Shark`s Teeth....Just for Colin i suspect;):tears-of-joy:!!)
...... So.... Just a Jaguar to get for the stash and we`re complete!!:nerd::tears-of-joy:

Evening Mr. Smiff,
Very nice purchases Andy, but I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't come out of puberty yet......I was hoping to see a Panther or the like......Definitely a very sad day down deep in Devon.....

Just took mine off. It leaks like a sieve at the quick release bit.
