boatman's 1/72 HMS Tiger C20 build

Chris so sorry to read that you've been struck down with stones, hope you improve very soon .

I've had a word with Matron !
She was last seen getting onto her bike clutching a vary large bag marked Pump .

I spent a very pleasant week on the Broads some years ago , Stalham Market was like something out of the 16 th century , people bidding fiercely for some binder twine and chicken wire. Strange place and even stranger people :flushed:

Sorry you are not well, Chris. I once had a kidney stone problem, it lasted just few hours, then the stone moved down towards its natural exit but I still remember those few hours as the most painful in my life.
For sure you Norfolk people are very tough: dealing with that problem for a week and a half and still trying to model! :thumb2:

My best wishes for a complete and fast recovery.

Andrea

Hope you're back to full health soon. Pain really saps enthusiasm and makes it hard to concentrate.
Glad you got the wiring problem sorted - it was a real bitch tracing the problem but as always you were up to the challenge.

Chris, Matron should be with you in the morning, the pump a mighty weapon will fill you with water quicker than you can say " How nice to see you Matron ".

Keep drinking mate, feel for you as a friend of mine was left lying on the floor in so much pain, of course he wasn't from your neck of the woods so didn't have your attitude.

Chris mate, if you really need them call them! Suffering in silence doesn’t help anyone, and they may end up being called anyway….better to have that happen on your terms. Also, have you contacted your GP? There might be something that can be done to help. However it pans out I hope it improves for you. Persistent pain in any form is horrible and really drags you down.

Chris mate, sorry to harp on about this, but if you leave it untreated you may well end up in A and E with a kidney infection, apart from putting yourself through unnecessary pain. Jen doesn’t need that and neither do you.

I‘m not saying you need to go to A and E right now, but I would at least ask a pharmacist or call 111 for advice, because there are probably meds that can help you pass the stone. You should also contact your GP, because there might be something they can do to stop reoccurrence going forward.

Don’t take everything you hear on telly at face value, they tend to report the worst cases. I’m not saying the NHS isn’t under the cosh, it is, but if you need help, don’t suffer, make some noise! A day in the system now is better than a week in the system for something more serious later on.

That’s bloody disgusting! Can’t they even offer a phone consultation? If nothing else they could prescribe more effective pain meds while you wait!
Sorry Chris, I really feel for you!
