Tony lovely job mate, looking forward to the paint.
Got the rlm76 on now 
Getting the top camo on ,starting with the rlm 75 and after a consultation with my personal Wurgermeister ( Alan G!) masked up with a hard edge for the rlm 74 . Once this has dried its time to unmask and then on with the mottle.

Finally managed to get in the shed for an hour yesterday so the mottle has been applied. Next up a coat of Klear then decals

Yep, indeed it is.....
.... I have a few kits in the stash that will be requiring a "mottle job",(something I've never attempted before),so I'm paying particular attention to this
Had to do a bit of a running repair - the tailwheel became a casualty of all the handling during painting . After drilling the mounting and tailwheel a piece of copper wire was superglued in , its now ready to be fitted but I’m going to leave it until last off to avoid knocking it off again.
Meanwhile ,Ive been painting a few bits - wheel wells , exhaust area and the yellow section under the nose . The airframe has had a coat of klear and after drying overnight I got the decals on today . The decals are the usual superb Revell fare . Printed in Italy , they never cause any problems and the sheet is very comprehensive - all stencilling is included and readable too! - Reifendruck - tyre pressure !
I always apply each decal on a bed of wet Klear , it avoids silvering and once it dries ( about 24 hr) it really pulls the decals down into any detail , i very rarely use decal solvent . Next up is a matt coat then weathering and all the ancillary bits like undercarriage and the Hagelkorn .

I find it reduces ,if not eliminates, silvering neil ,and once it dries it really sucks the decal down .

Got to love a coat of Klear or its newer name equivalent that I use. Heard about it a few years after coming back to the hobby. Goes on beautifully and soooooooo much cheaper than proprietary brand gloss.

The Focke has been Kleared and has now had a panel line wash applied . This will be left to dry thoroughly then cleaned up . After that its time for a final matt coat and then I can apply the exhaust stains and start adding the undercarriage etc. 
Looking good Tony. What do you use for the panel lines? Tried Flory washes for the first time with my Mossie and was very impressed.

This ones a mix of black and white Daler Rowney watercolour paints which I got from Poundland ( £1 for the pair ) I added a little of the white to the black and thinned it with water and a good slosh of flow improver , all mixed in an empty bottle . Ive used the UMP washes in the past but found they can be a bit hard to get right - either wiping straight out of the panel lines or sometimes staining the paint and not coming off . The watercolours are very forgiving , if you cock it up you can just wipe it clean and start again , no staining . I let it dry overnight then start rubbing with a dry cotton bud , only dampening it if the wash doesnt come off first time.
The other one I use sometimes is Modellers oil wash , from John in the scale model shop , very nice to use and cleans up easily with a bit of odourless thinners .
