I quit! Smoking that is.

Good on you Ian. I had a heart attack some years ago and my surgeon told me to quit or I wouldn't see 60. Hardest thing I've ever done but I managed. I've even got over the itch for one whenever I see someone else smoking, but I do get crazy dreams every so often where I've given in to temptation last week and had a cigarette and today I've just bought a packet!
Oh well, I just got started back up again.....Oh, wait I was dreaming.:smiling5:

Turnes out dropping the ciggies was easy. Its the Biscuits and cookies that are hard!

Yeah! Gotta be harder now you've got all those extra pennies to spend on them!

I think in a case like this and Matron is in full agreement a committee meeting is needed .
Guess what Ian you've be awarded aThe Dogs_0.jpg THE DOGS 2 MOD.png

A rare occasion indeed for the " dog " to be awarded for a none modelling subject.
Congratulations keep it up .

Hi Ian
Well done. If you're like me you'll look back on this as one of the best decisions you ever made.

Cheers chaps.
It has cost a kilo (or maybe two) but two kg when you are already 25kg over safe loading weight is hardly going to topple the cart.... lol tell that to the doctor
It will soon be summer and the salad season will be in full swing.

I am deeply honoured.

Think of all the extra model tokens you will have now
I have been 'treating' myself and the boss (aka SWMBO) to some extent.
I have been replenishing my paints and got some paint racks and a tool holder!
Not bought any models though. (Yet).

Ian,
very well done! Have you regained any sense of taste yet? I found I could actually taste things again, it takes a while, but it's quite ................interesting

Tast and smell were quick to return. Good for food and flowers, not so good when the farmer is out with the slurry wagon!

I would just like to blow my own trumpet! I have been smoke free (and any other things containing nicotine) For a whole year! (and seven days, lol.)

Nice one Ian, congratulations :)
I quit in October 2020, wasn't easy at the beginning, but,I have to say that I don't think about it at all anymore ;)

That, Ian, is an achievement to be very proud of. You're healthier, wealthier and smell better as well.

Ian,
that's the first year :thumb2: - now all you have to do is string them together! Well done!! ( I did it cold turkey in 2000 ). I still get the occasional pang, even after so long, but it doesn't last for more than a few seconds!
