Thanks guys, still a long way to go up that roof !
The gutter pewter and those steel pins have been primed with Mr Hobby . Next it will be primed and painted with AK3 Gen Blacks .
I've ordered some down pipe , so hopefully that will be here this coming week .

Got to think about the snow, don't want to do a heavy snow fall, just a hint , when the spring was setting in .As this is supposed to be in 1945 at the end of the war and these guys were fighting a rearguard action .Hope I've got this right ! Any history is welcome on this .

John .

Sounds like you have it figured out JR......construction as usual, is right on the money! :thumb2:

Thanks Rick, it's too easy to just rush headlong into a Dio. Although parts of the build alter as you progress, and other parts you think you could have done that differently or better .
But there is a general idea that I have in my mind , sometimes easier to think than carry out !

Evening all, even right handers ;)

Just one photo, cheers from the back row I hear.
Just to see how its progressing on wards.
The base is waiting for a final coat of flat varnish which I will be using AK 3RG gen , seems to pretty good, no bits and sprays well .

The roof is very slow as have wait for the pva to dry before attempting any more rows than 2. Even with Deluxe fast drying it needs at least a couple of hours.

Decided this time to introduce some more colour to the stone sets, another long winded jab , but feel its well worth it.

Guttering in now black primed, just waiting for some new down pipe to arrive. Unfortunately John was out of the size.

Thanks for looking in. John.

That's brilliant John. And agree about the stones. Definitely helped!

Keep the great work.

Thanks Andrew , if they are all one colour it just becomes uninteresting.
More great work John, must be because you are left handed. ;)

Andy.
Ah , could well be Andy. Thank you . Most left hand people are artistic regardless of what the infidels ;):smiling2: think and say .

This morning I glass varnished the sets, now normally I would use mat, but as the finish is going to be in bad weather thought this may give the "wet " look .

Those seperate colours don't come out as well in the photo unfortunately. Better check the settings.

Coming along nicely John, seeing the building & the wespe in place on the base shows it all off really well. The wet look to the cobbles is an interesting idea, how often do we see dioramas with a 'rained on' look?
