The Smythe Meister's Priest

Just arrived, sorry I'm late... yeah yeah, I'll go to the confession box, priest... confession... oh it doesn't matter!
Andy, your build is looking pretty amazing mate, I've got a couple of Academy kits, I like them, simple... sometimes and they look the part too!

Looks great Andy. Love the interior details, a big part of these open vehicles
Thanks very much Jim, totally agree... The more "clutter" the better!! ;)

So then Chaps,
Progress has been made, but it's lots of small stuff,so takes a while to actually see much development ;)

All I'm really going to do now is add some external stowage, continue the streaking on the outer hull and finish off the weathering up of the running gear :)
...... Oh,and get the crew figures together.
I wanted a well worn look,may have overdone it a bit,but nevermind.... It's looking like a Priest I reckon ;)
As always, thanks for looking in,and any thoughts, comments... or plain ole abuse,is welcome. :)
Cheers for now......

Now Andy, that is one excellent model.
Up in the Gods, I've been quietly watching the build - And have enjoyed every stage.

Ron

Looking very good. Color coded shell container tops (eg. white=willy pete) for what's inside would break up all the black.

Really rather good old chap!!

Very well done.

Andrew
Thanks Andrew old bean. ;)

Nice one Paul, good idea, whilst looking stuff up for this build I did see one or two pics of these containers with a yellow stripe below the cap.The majority were plain black.... I will look into it further, because, as you say,it would add a nice contrast to all that black. ;)

Andy baby, I just had a good catch up. that is one seriously good looking build mate.
HA!!... Cheers Scottie,I think the fact that it's been such an enjoyable build has certainly helped ;)
That is looking the bee's knees Andy. You've gotta be chuffed :thumb2:
Thanks Jim, very kind.... and yes,I am rather pleased so far. :)

Rather splendid result so far, looking suitably worn but not over the top
Cheers Buddy,I was a bit worried that I'd gone a bit overboard, but the more I look at it,the more I'm happy :)
Mr Smiff

An outstanding job sir. Now let's get those figgies painted.

John
Thanks very much John, very kind..
... as for the figures... Hmmm,my weak point for sure... but I'll do my best!! ;)

Cheers Ron, very kind. :smiling3:

A really spectacular build. The lengths you guys go to is incredible.
Don't know if they used the same colour codes in WW2, but these days a yellow stripe would signify HE. IIRC Grey was a chemical weapon.

Not overdone at all mate,if you cant put a bit of wear and tear on a 25t hunk of steel then that just leaves the poor old knees lol...nice build :thumb2:

I can see this getting the D.
Andy, a brilliant bit of weathering, love the metal finish esp on those tools , that's some neat detail painting.

The gun on the Priest is an American weapon, and American colour codes differed from British, but chances are good that modern NATO colours are based on American ones anyway.
