Apparently not John. Pilots said it flew like a truck :tongue-out3:What a size Andy, a great lumbering beast on the ground, bet it was different in the air.
Ha!..... Yeah, they do look a little "lost" in there eh?!Ummmmm Mr. Smiff....why did you put a 1-72nd scale crew into a 1-48th scale wing thing? :tongue-out3: :tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy::thumb2:
Cheers Chris..... not sure about that though, things have slowed right down! :sad:brilliant progress Andy, you'll be finished with this in no time at all...
Certainly is a whopper eh John.... in that pic it looks more the size of a twin engined bomber to me !What a size Andy, a great lumbering beast on the ground, bet it was different in the air.
Yep, I've read that about them too Tim...... and VERY vulnerable to the ZerosApparently not John. Pilots said it flew like a truck :tongue-out3:
Thanks Andy, the internet has been a God send for helping to build this.As for the Canberra, that does seem to be the popular thought. :smiling3:Nice build, Andy even if instructions are not so helpful. :thumb2:
As per the cockpit in the backyard (pic from google maps), I really think it's a Canberra.
No problem at all Geoff,in fact it's much appreciated.... an interesting clip, and quite moving too.... As the plane tipped when pushed off the deck,it looked kinda like an Angel, with it's wings folded back like that ..... how appropriate!
Hope you don’t mind me dropping this in your thread Andy, (I’ll delete it if you wish :thumb2: ) seemed fitting after the discussion regarding the turret.
Geoff.
Thanks Colin, and yes,it looks almost like a "two storey" fuselage!Splendid work Andy. I'm another who didn't actually realise how big this beast was, until I saw one of your figures deep down in the fuselage.

Thanks very much John, and welcome along.Late as ever, but muchly impressed. Certainly is a big beastie.
John.
Cheers GeoffComing on very nicely Andy :thumb2:
Painting is always a land mark part of a build in my opinion. It’s when it starts to come to life :smiling4:
Geoff.
Cheers Lee, taken ages!! About to put the Int Blue on now.....Nice masking looks good.
Thanks very much John, and welcome along. :smiling3:
Cheers Geoff :smiling3: .....
..... Where's your little vid gone?.... Hope you didn't delete it after all did you?!
It's back again now Geoff?! ... I wanted to show it to Rach,(she's always interested in a little bit of history with my builds. No I haven’t deleted it Andy.
It’s showing up this end so not sure why you can’t see it
Geoff.
Cheers Scottie.... Just about to remove the masking after the blue.Looking good mate paint work looks nice.
