Scale Model Shop

Spots on the Internet (2023)

That’s what I was thinking too: painting the squares will be fairly doable in 1:35, a lot harder in 1:72. Not saying it can’t be done, of course, and in fact I would like to see a build where someone does just that :smiling3:
I'm tempted to say "challenge accepted" :smiling5:

Will try and keep an eye out for it's release.

It's already been done.......I believe Mr. Ron, our gifted 570 did a 1-72nd scale chopper with digital camo that he "free handed", and very convincingly I might add. ;) :thumb2:
I missed this as we flipped over on to the next page.

I'll have a search for that. I do remember the stunning BTR 70 he did in desert digital. Way beyond my skill level back then and probably always will be!

It was Peter's Helicopter GB in 2022 I remember doing a Rooskie Mil Hind and Ron did a NH90 if I remember correctly. Hope this is helpful.

On the ICM website - boxart for the US helicopter crew.................

Odd posture of the figure on the right explained!

On the ICM website - 'on sale soon'

I note that it has decals for the pixel camouflage, that's interesting

Don't think there's much new about this one ,or the fuel bowser ,flat bed truck ,and the rocket tube launcher lorry type thing as they've all been released by ICM as Soviet versions ,re issues it seems to me ,milking the brave Ukraine bit with some new decals.

Probably a niche subject here, but announced yesterday as soon to be available from JW de Boer as 3D-printed figures in 1:35 and 1:72, and probably also in 1:48 and 1:87 later:

Dutch Army M. 20 (Lewis) machine gun team in AA mode.

Walking M. 20 gunner.

Infantryman aiming M. 95 rifle (Mannlicher).

Commander for M. 36 Landsverk or M. 39 DAF armoured car.
Now that’s different. I assume the AA Lewis is blitzkrieg era and not WW1? Not at all familiar with early war Dutch army, so I might be wrong…..

As Tim said, very different!

Yep, should have said: these are in 1930s uniforms and equipment, so suitable for May 1940. The old-fashioned putties were still very much in use for enlisted men at the time, at least for “foot” units, and on the whole the uniforms had very much the appearance of most armies 25–30 years earlier, other than the steel helmet.

Oh, and the smoker’s buddy:

This is an armoured car crewman, BTW. Which means there will probably be more crewman figures sold than there were real ones in 1940 …
