Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2023)

Inspired by the flats at Figure World North 2023, I purchased this from El Greco Miniatures. I don't know what scale it is - the panel is c. 15cms x 11cms. Great sculpting, but the finish leaves a little to be desired, with one or two tiny bubbles, and some unfortunate miscasting right in the eyes of one figure. Should be correctable. Painting it, however, is going to be quite a challenge!

I’m sure that will come out really well Paul, despite the bubble eyes…..sculpting is excellent isn’t it. It also strikes me that flats, which are only ever seen from one angle, should be a great candidate for the Non Metallic Metal painting technique ;)

On looking for a little off-the-beam model - postie just delivered this

From Ebay - but not an auction - a ' buy in now ' at £12.43, free postage!! Ordered yesterday, delivered today - if you're interested they still have 7 in stock - also check out the HB Komsomolets at £11.69 ( 10 available ) - not one I'm interested in.
Makes all that browsing worthwhile occasionally!
Dave
That looks an interesting one Dave.Tepmted myself with this one.

Oh, wow, the Diamond “T” kit! And a genuine, original Matchbox kit of 40+ years old — not a Revell reissue, by the looks of it. I’m not sure I would even build it …

Who knows how long it'll last?!

Had one of these for a couple years now.....worth its weight in GOLD! I have found it to be invaluable in my figure painting, which is not often but a must have when I'm in the groove. Well done and you won't regret it. :thumb2: :thumb2:

Fingers crossed Rick, I've seen them before but never thought much about it.

Very errrr nice Lee!
But for us newbs, what is it and what does it do??

Yeah, well - they all appeared to be moving and there was an extra set of track marks - so maybe I did jump to a premature conclusion! Sorry :disappointed2:
Steve
You missed the little squaddie with his pick making the tread marks behind them...

If you had a bloke grabbing you by the reigns like that, your eyes would pop!
