Here's my victim for the GB. An iconic second world war fighter that i've never built before. Got a set to upgrade the cockpit and some masks for the clear parts. Good luck everyone and thanks to Andy for getting this one off the ground :hungry:

So who thought 1/72 was a good idea? Ok guilty I need to make some progress before I head off for some sun next week so here’s where I am. Cockpit is built up with the PE added, some parts are ridiculously small so they’re not getting used. I drilled out the holes in the pilots seat and also the holes for the machine guns in the engine cowling. Pva added to the dials so just some weathering and chipping to do now.

Cockpit looking great so far Mick.

Just make sure you put it in a safe place. Being so small you may never find it again after your jollies!

A bit more progress today and the build is almost complete. I know it’s a Tamiya kit but the fit has been superb, virtually no gaps at the wing roots or underneath, hopefully it will at least make it into primer before I jet off.

Think this might be the last update before I hit the sun. Undercoat applied, some strategic areas sprayed silver for chipping. All the remaining small parts have been brush painted.

A great choice Mick. Even given the problem free fit of Tamiya kits your progress has been rapid. Lovely looking cockpit.
Enjoy your hols.

Thanks Jim, I was desperate to make some progress with it. This just might be my last 1/72 as I love detailing kits up but some of the parts are so small in the AM stuff they’re just no worth fitting

I'm guessing that picture was a quick dash outside in between the epic rain we've had here over the past few days!

Looking good Mick, enjoy your jollies.

Thanks Andy and yes it was good timing

Looks fun masking that greenhouse up in 1/72th
It is looking good. I gave up on the small stuff. (air and wheels) ages ago. more than my fat, dead fingers could cope with.
