Postie just dropped this off.....................

Remember the old KP kits?, clunky & crude? Forget those, this is delicately moulded & looks very good ( no PE ). One niggle is that the 3 marking options

ALL have the lozenge camo - which is not included - 'available separately'! Luckily, I have lozenge decals in the stash ( my last post! ).
KP models used to be cheap - this isn't! £17 delivered - and if you add on the cost of the needed decals - an expensive little 1/72 model

Dropped off the 7th load of stuff from mums house today at the cat charity shop. A while back I picked up the Tamiya 1/350 jap sub kit and the same people dropped off more stuff including a new kit found in a cupboard.

This is the floatplane designed for the same Jap sub, I assume the person was going to build this along side the sub kit. Was given it for free, seems so far the stuff I have dropped off has raised about £200. So Simon said it's free as a Thank you, lovely.

Got these in the Airfix sale. Got some different plans for the EE Lightning and Sea King. Wanted to see how the F-35B looks and goes together, the instructions are interesting; Airfix now illustrate where to apply glue on each part at assembly.

Keeping postie busy ( he tells me it's -8C outside! )

A real short run model from the 80's - a few basic plastic parts, white metal details. Roundels look a little dodgy, but otherwise OK - an early 'silver wings'. Ebay <£14 delivered

Yup, keeping Postie on his toes!

The 225 has a real steampunk look! Both from the 70-80s

Some nice purchases Dave. You're gonna need a bigger space for storage and you'll need to live to 150 in order to build them all :smiling:

Newbie here, haven't built a kit for 38 years, but a busy modeller back then built a few commision kits, restarting the hobby now but the model workspace not quite finished, but these 4 have arrived, done a little on the Spitfire with some cockpit sub assembly also heard of some built loft kits I can have, a 1/24th JU Stuka, a Sunderland and a few others not known what state they are in ,
Hopefully model workplace will be done by end of weekend and can make a proper start.

Depending on how accurate you want to be with that, the photo of the one next to the fascist monument is a Bren Carrier rather than a Universal Carrier like you have in your kit :)

Good evening all

I hope you are all well?

So better late than never I thought I'd share my Christmas gifts (below).....I've been waiting for a few to arrive from Poland, hence the delay.

ACW as usual

Andrew

First up, this from work. In recent years we've been given a hamper.....this year we got the pre-paid debit card pre-loaded with £45!

......which allowed me to treat myself to this!

Then of course there was the obligatory chocolate......and believe it or not I only finished the Toblerone earlier this week and haven't even opened the Hotel Chocolat bar!!

A for the 'main' gifts, my wife and I agreed to a limit for each of us.....her's is going on a trip to the Big Apple next year......some of mine went on some essentials....

.....with the rest going on some extravagances I would not normally buy.

I was corrupted into buying the CMK figures from a UK store by @The Smythe Meister !!!! And very nice they are too!!

The stowage was actually free as I had a lot of reward points the Polish shop I got it and the barrels from.

.....there was though some money still left in my allowance......and so what I'd spent on these just before Christmas from my modelling fund was transferred to my Christmas spend!!

However, THE best gift by far was from my teenage daughter......out of her part time pay, she bought four tickets for a family trip to see Michael McIntyre (he's one of the UK's best known comedians in case you've not heard of him). According to his website, he's currently 9 months into a 15 month world-ish tour.

We going to see him at the O2 Arena in London....the capacity is 20,000.....and he's doing five nights there alone, which gives you an idea of how big he is.........and more importantly just what a generous gift it was!!

Usual excellent value and service from John and the shop. Ordered Friday, and unusually, delivered Sunday evening. I made a slight error in that I though there might be markings/parts for early British version, but seems you have to go for a Takom model which I've not had good experiences with.

Evri stealth delivery - ring the doorbell & run!! Ebay < £12 delivered
ibg karas.jpg
I made the Heller Karas many moons ago, this is my first IBG aircraft, and looks several generations ahead of the Heller - clean, crisp, detailed moulds, tiny PE sheet, well printed decals ................
