Andy's Hobby 2000 1/48 Hurricane Mk 1

Yep, gotta agree with the guys on this one Andy, that's looking superb :thumb2: , going to be a cracker this one.

Looks really really nice. I’ve never seen a belly painted in that scheme. Your doing an amazing job Andrea.

Looks great Andrea, I love weathering on the undercarriage :thumb2:

Geoff.

I've had this lurking in the stash for a year or so, your build might be the spur to move it up the building list, thank you.

Thank you, Geoff. Just some Tamiya panel liner over a light brushing with steel pigments. I'll try to add some mud and grass stains later.

Back from parents' home and deep into SWMBO jobs list (painted two wooden plant pots, easy to paint but terribly heavy to lift).
In the meantime I managed to spray some Tamiya clear on my Hurricane, which is now ready for decaling, but nothing worthing even a single pixel to be published.

No significant progress but as Ian asked for more and closer pics, here they are

Decals will follow (sooner or later, real life permitting...)

Is the underside paint scheme a UK WWII version of "DONT SHOOT ME"? Beautiful job on this.

The underside scheme was one of those provided by the RAF 1941 regulation and yes, I think one of the main reasons was to avoid friendly fire or "blue on blue" as it's called now, but, IMHO, it's also a tentative to break the shape of the aircraft, making its spotting and ranging from below more difficult for enemy pilots and gunners.

This is all looking rather good. Nice work Andrea.

Project stalled again due to heavy gusts from real life: I'm again at my parents' to offer some help and relief. I'm relying with confidence on this distinguished audience patience and understanding. :smiling4:
