Evening All,

As you might have noticed, I have been absent for a while. A lot of crap has been going, some good, but mostly bad. Laptop died and this time it was fatal. HD can be saved, as it is new, but the motherboard bit the dust. My son the techie can transfer the data to this new one and use the HD for an external storage device. One of my good friends lost his son to Leukemia too. He had battled it for about 2 years and finally lost the war. He was 37 years old and in his prime. A good guitar player too. Also some other stuff happened that I won't get into...

Funny thing is, the Mojo has still been flying off the map and without real internet comms, I have been going crazy at the table to keep my head on straight. I have been on the forum and following all your builds, or so I thought. When I tried to comment a few times, I got messages from windows and some blue screens, so I just gave up on it. I see I have fallen way behind on so many good things and builds. I don't think I will be able to ever ketchup and I apologize for this. With this new laptop, I hope to get into the swing of things once again...

On the good side, besides the laptop, I have had some retail therapy and will soon begin a blog on a CSM model I have started. I've other things on the go, but the pics are on the other HD, so I can't access them to post. I hope my son will accomplish the transfer on Sunday so I can bore you with what I have been doing. In the meantime, I will try and ketchup as much as I can...

Thanks for your understanding and please don't go running off screaming because I'm back. Now, a little humor to let you know, I haven't lost mine yet.......

Oh bugger......
..... Just when it'd gone all nice'n peaceful,HE'S back,eh Cohan!!:astonished:;)

Yo! Youngerthanme,

Thought maybe you had gone off to be transgendered or re-identified, joined a protest group protesting about something they know nothing about but believe all the bull:poop: foisted upon them.....

Hope you did not have any flooding like they did in the Frankfurt area.... I saw on YT they had it bad.

Sorry to hear about your friends son, my Sister was physically disabled, had pnumonia umpteen times and every time she was read her last rights, and in a way it was a blessing when she seemed to just give up the fight at age 50, sadly miss the playfull arguments we used to have over who got the cherry on the cake....

These electro/mechanical devices do not seem to last as long as the good old clay tablet or that later invention paper and pencil I had the same problem you have had and bought one of these little devices, just in case it happens again....

You can take out the old H/D and plug it into this device, then plug the device into your new all singing laptop and transfer what you like from the old one.

Pleased to see you have been active on the bench and not just lazing about while the rest of us work our eyeballs to zero under the glare of the candle stub on the end of our nose....

Well that is my letter of the day, now the nurse is coming along to massage my head and drip feed me my meds, Oh! to be twenty years younger and the things we could do on my zimmer frame.....

Take care and see you on the forum, and its a pleasure to see you back...

Olderthanyou.... is it cold nurse or are you just happy to see me......

WOW! Thanks so much folks. I'm just having a little trouble with this new toy and it has Windows11 on it. The keyboard is smaller and harder to use than my old one. Ain't easy with the sausage fingers...

Good to have you back Allen.
Thanks Boss! I see you have been slacking on the lawn mowing and great pics of your place. Rider fixed yet?

Good to have you back mate. It sounds life has thrown you a few curve balls. My condolences to your friends family.

Yes Mr. Smiff, a bad day in Devon it is and yes, I'm back for the attack! Even Cohan can't help you Andy. He's too busy at the table doing what you are supposed to be doing, building your kits...

Thanks a lot Chris! I haven't been far, but without comms, it's tough to post. We have to have a talk about Tiger too, my friend...

Thanks again for all the support. That what makes this forum so great. On to the ketchup, but I don't even know where to start. I guess from the top and work my way down.....

Thanks and sorry I missed you there much Olderthanme,

We only had flooding in Downtown Bamberg on one of the RR bridge underpasses. Some knucklehead tried to drive through it and got stranded in a yellow Golf. I guess he swam away to higher ground. His Golf ended up sideways in the underpass. With my friend's son, it was unexpected as he was doing much better and then, bam...

That's the plan with other HD, but my son will remove Windows 10 from the HD first. Then it will become my new external and the old laptop will be recycled to the dump. This new one is an Acer like in your pic Mike. It's an Aspire 3, but doesn't have a CD Rom in it. Guess I'll get an external one for it...

Good luck with the Nursie and keep you hands to yourself Buddy. Oh, and crack on with that Dough thingy your building too...
