Heres my second entry to the GB , hopefully I can get it done before the finish. The subject is the excellent Airfix 1/72 mk1 Hurricane . Ive also got some 3D printed figures of RAF pilots waiting for the scramble call . I’m just going to do a simple grass base with the aircraft and figures , no need to go mad . Heres the sprue shots and some of the figures before and after cutting them out of their protective cage and removing the printing supports . Had a good go at this today , the hurricane is a brilliantly detailed kit , lovely cockpit and wheel wells. Ive got some 3d decals for the seat belts and the kit decal for the instrument panel is ok for this scale.
Ive started on the figures too ,one of which Ive done completely , I must say the quality of these is amazing . IMG_4099.jpegIMG_4100.jpegIMG_4101.jpeg

Very convincing Tony nice job

Great start Tony. Figures are superb as everyone says. Interesting that they come caged, though I suppose we’ll all get used to 3D supports soon enough.

Those newer Airfix 1/72 kits are certainly very good. Off to a fine start. The figures are superb. The details and the poses. This may be a simple dio but it will be an eyecatcher.

Got the wing top and bottom glued and the cockpit together. The seat has had the Eduard super fabric seat belts added . The nav lights on the wing were just moulded solid so they were cut out and pieces of clear sprue glued in after a hole was drilled and painted to simulate the bulbs .
