WHAT Computer GAME do you play on what machine ?

I think that's cool that you still have a working Megadrive Chris. I do wish I still had some of the 8 and16 Bit machines I had back in the 80s/90s.
HI Arnold yes i think its a good machine for its time an playin yesterday i enjoyed it an you can still buy them an all the games an handsets on ebay but a bit pricey but i oreded a new joystick as i intend to play a lot more when i have a break from the cat but for me today back workin on that big cat as more eletrics to fit in

I don't play games of any kind. Many years ago my daughter got Prince of Persia when it first came out. I tried it once, but about 2 minutes in I was bored stiff.
The only thing I can say about the shoot em up type games is that if you get shot in one of them it hurts a damn sight less than real life.
John.

Never played any games apart from Solitaire & Mahjong on my Pc's - real life is enough for me!

None these days, but I did have a liking for turn based strategy games back in the day when I was a shift worker. My favourites were East Front II and Operational Art of War by Talonsoft. They had decent AI for solo play. Loved the earlier Civilisation games, and X-com as well, and played the football manager sim Championship manager a lot. Never did like first person shooters, just found them boring after a few minutes. An exception was Half life, mostly because I liked the settings. Stopped playing games once I came off shift work really, just occasionally messing about with simple puzzle and word games on my iPad these days.

Didn't know you included puzzles! I'm sort of addicted to samurai sudokus.

I found the shooter style games very therapeutic after a crepe day at work. I would look at people at work and smile, unbeknown to them they were wasted so many times the night before!!!!
SO Doug you blow away all the people you cant stand at work then in your imaginenation im glad i dont work with you LOL but i wish i had thought of it as there were one or two stuck up snobs who were not very nice to me at work boy they were horrible people thinkin they were the cats whiskers urgh

Who can forget the 'Drop the Dead Donkey' ''Team-building'' paintball episode!

''You tied me to a tree and shot me in the b***s 84 times!!!'' or similar.

Mind you, since hitting 72 I'm maybe thinking I should hang up my headphones but you know - I don't think I'm ready yet.
In my first seven years of WoW, one of the regulars in the (small) guild I was in, was a woman who was the same age as my mother. OK, that was around ten years ago, so she was in her mid-60s at the time, and I lost touch with her when I quit the game, but unless she’s since died of the chain-smoking she apparently did, I would be surprised if she wasn’t still playing some MMORPG or other today.

I'm a PS5 & PC user. I like big open world games, so Fallout, GTA, Mass Effect, Red Dead, Assassins Creed, etc.

Mind you I have played with some big boys Flight sims!!!
The FMS Sea King Sim at Culdrose. That was fun in the front. The back was rather dull, all the back seaters had was a vibrating deck!!! Whereas up front they had the full works. Gets real interesting when bits start failing. You know when it’s been busy up front when the pilots asks for the nearest loo after the doors open!!!

I have a gaming PC with all the bells and whistles. I enjoyed Red Dead Redemption and Kingdom Come. More recently Starfield is occasionally entertaining and Manor Lords is my most recent amusement.

It was so easy Chris I had so many to choose from. A boss who was delusional. (He actually thought the staff loved him - I know of two guys who were seriously looking into doing him harm!!!). You know the phrase if the going gets tough!! Well the boss just went on leave and surfaced when the panic was over!!! The there were the clueless. As much as you try and train them they just didn't have a clue and were the bane of my life!!!
Then there were the 'visitors'. I learned to hate the phrase "do you know who I am"???? As if it was going to open doors for them!! So I understand your cats whiskers reference!!!
After a day of all that - a good stint with a heavy machine gun did me the power of good!!!!

My gaming 'habit' died a bit when the man at Microsoft made a better version of windows and basicaly popped a finger at driver updates for 'old' hardware. So all the wheels, joysticks, pedals I have had are worthless junk.
Maybe one day I will give them a last try on Win11 befor I trash them...
I used to have a lot of sims.
Colin McRea, Grand Prix Legends, and a couple of other driving games. No modern F1 though
MS Flight Sim with a monster geodata satellite map of the UK.
I also had MS golf with a ton of courses. I was quite good at that as well.
F22 Raptor and Comanche helicopter was fun as well.

Know what you mean there Ian. I was gifted a game, (Apache Longbow Gold), amazing game, sat on the Windows platform and was truly addictive. Then MS did an upgrade, joystick didn't work, game became jumpy. Which moved me to a full games machine rather than a PC.
