Hello,
I am a writer and while writing other novels, I cannot avoid thinking of possible future ones. That is how while I am writing a medieval crime novel, I also keep working on a sci-fi story. I already have the perfect twisted (on purpose) scientific background that justifies a space trip, the dramatic premise that makes the novel of universal interest, and I am still working on the plot of the adventure. I need a spaceship, of course! So, I have begun constructing my own design with all kinds of greebles. I know you like this kind of scratch built model. I hope to report my progress through the months. Thank you for letting me be part of this forum.IMG_5527.jpgIMG_5535.jpgIMG_5536.jpg

Christopher,
No, there is no working mechanism as a remote control. I am planning to install some lights and perhaps make the white part rotate around the longitudinal axis of the space ship but that's it.

Pablo, and it's a warm welcome from as well. You have found just about the friendliest and best forum there is.

I hope so, Paul. I have very bad luck with forums. They are not always friendly. The last time I was in one, I just wanted to let people know that they can download my fully illustrated fantasy novel for free and they got so aggressive that I had to flee as fast as a rabbit. Hahaha. Thank you for your welcoming.

This is the basic body of the spaceship. I have established the shape and proportion of the vessel, as well as the proportions of its parts as a whole and in relation to each other. Nothing important is going to change during the actual construction process. Before attaching the sections of the ship together, I am going to work on them individually, this is, filling, sealing, flattening, leveling and "greebling" each and every one of them. That will take some time to be done. I will be updating my progress.

Excellent progress Pablo. You are doing a great job of reworking electrical scrap into a cohesive whole. It will be interesting seeing the greeblies build up.
