Scale Model Shop

Build videos.

However vids showing painting or weathering techniques are always worth watching
One of the very reasons I like watching Night Shift once in a while. His paintwork and weathering is quite remarkable. A bit OTT sometimes but impressive.

Sounds like Herbert Erparderp.Slops the glue around and cusses a fair bit hehe.
Found him again. Harry Houdini models. A fun break from the normal builds videos. A good modeller As good as any I guess but amusing? Oh Yes.

One of the best out there for figure painters, both in technique explanations and product reviews is Vince Ventruella because he shows the product or technique actually in use and compares products directly under the same conditions and shows the painting process in real time explaining what he is doing.
I agree with you about Vincie V, Tim. Definitely one of the best instructionally for figure painters. I'd also say Marco Frisoni (Not Just Mecha) both knows his stuff and teaches effectively.

Three to watch more for fun are Miniac, Ninjon and 52 Miniatures. My main beef with YouTube figure painting tutorials generally is the overwhelming dominance of Warhammer content - I guess that's in response to the algorithmic imperative to maximise clicks, but it is rather limiting.

I dunno, I personally pay more attention to the painting and weathering bit. That's the part I struggle with most.

I tend to watch videos from a few YouTube video creators. Night Shift, Harry Houdini (amusing and enthusiastic rather than informative) and Steve Jones Scale Models. Many will know Steve. His are informative and not too long either.

Another inspirational site is A4 garage. Not by any means out of box builds but bloody good high detailed builds of some great cars. Very well worth a watch.

Fully agree Dave, open the video and no actual build , that's what I want , showing tips on how the maker got around problems with the kit .
