Latest Acquisitions (2026)

Ok chaps, so just realised that it was early in August when I last posted any of my new arrivals...but rest assured I have not been quiet and got some real bargains in the process!!!!

So below is what has arrived since August in a roughly chronological order!

And so kicking it all off.....this from mid-August....very good used....albeit only 15% down on new prices.







Got these from a show in early September, only £10 for the T-72 and only £12 for the T-34 (usually only £20, which is an excellent price in itself)...and with a full interior!!!

Picked these up at the IWM Duxford air show (pics to follow). Knocked the seller down on the Warpaint books to only £25 for the trio and two are as good as new.








I do love these books...other than the price tag removal mark, it's in pretty good condition and for 40% cheaper than new.







The same seller as the three IWM purchases obviously acquired a job lot of these that almost no one bid on and so, including P&P, I picked these up for for only £6.50 each, at least 60% off the new price, and a couple are as good as new.







Still in September, picked this up from the Blenheim society stand at the Brampton show for only £20...normally just over £30!! And in support of the Blenheim Charity too, so all to a good cause!!! 😂😉








Now into early October.....


At the Abingdon show a trader was selling kits and AM for ridiculously low prices.....this lot new should cost £140.....£140!

However, I picked this lot up for just under £50....the same as the kits on their own brand new....truly bonkers....









These are from the recent-ish Letchworth show.....

Book and ladders were from a club friend for only £7 and the two kits cost me a grand total of £5 in the raffle....the Panther is a £25 kit on it's own.











And finally this....saw one at a show going for only £25 back in the Spring but stupidly didn't pick it up...they're now almost £50! This then popped up on an eBay. There's some minor wear on the box but the kit is fine....and for well over 40% off the new price.


 
Goodness me, that's an excellent selection Andrew. The Arma Hurricane kits look the business
 
Bloody hell Andrew, that's a heck of a haul, and very eclectic. I may need to check out these guides. Very impressed.
 
Had to pop out yesterday, and as it was not far from my nearest Hobby Craft store..... well it was rude not to pay it a visit.
Came out with these.....
A Tamiya 88mm Flak Gun, a nice old Landie (LWB), a strip of thin balss wood, (for edging) and some enamel thinners....
The 88mm seems a bargain, as it includes the gun, plus mini tractor thingy, plus motorbike, plus nine figures!!!

Finally, a win in a charity shop!
I love charity shops for books but spotted this today when I went in my local hospice charity shop

Never heard of it, turns out to be a Japan and USA market only..... Made less than 6000 1997 to 2001.....based on the old short wheel base Trooper

But for a fiver it was coming with me lol

After doing the Mania hobby ki51 Sonia recently I was on the lookout for any of their other kits . After going bust their moulds were bought and re released by Hasegawa and one of those was the ki27 Nate . This cost me 6.75 plus postage and theres 2 full kits in the box , one off the sprues and one in a sealed bag. They look beautiful mouldings like the Sonia .IMG_8875.webpIMG_8876.webp

I quite like the look of these inter-war aeroplanes with their fixed landing gears. Two for one is a great deal Tony
