    Best material for diorama Ice?

Another method might be with UV resin. Spread a thin sheet on wax paper (or parchment paper) and set with a UV light. Then peel off and break up to taste. John

How to paint "white metal" figures?

I have painted a lot of metal figures from way back when 25mm wargaming figures were always white metal. (minifigs for example) you can paint them just as you have suggested, prime and paint. Acrylic paints are fine. John

Brave New World - Epoxy Resin U Boat Dio

Peter Looking very neat. To create a wave effect I would suggest that you use a layer of Modpodge on top of the resin and use an air brush to push it around into wavey shapes. Just use the airbrush empty and allow the simple airflow to create the waves. John

    Brian's Sovereign of the seas

Brian I know you had some fit problems earlier in the build but looking at where the chains and the deadeyes will be fitted I wonder if some of the guns are going to interfere with where the channels are fitted. John

    Brian's Sovereign of the seas

Amazing decorations. Now that you have almost done the hull I get the impression that painting the lower hull white would really enhance the the look. This even though I think the wood finish looks great I wonder if white would just lift the appearance. John
