    DaveCov's Pyro 1/16 Harley-Davidson Electra-Glide (M-157-125)

As promised, here are the box contents. The parts are almost free of flash but there are a lot of ejector pin marks to clean up. There are quite a few chrome parts but I will probably strip off the chrome and repaint. The transparencies are crisply moulded but the visor has some small scratches...

    Forum going very slow?

The speed has been decreasing throughout the day but for the past five minutes it has been lightning fast. Perhaps John has just given the server's hamster a shake. Dave

May go dark for a little while

Good luck with your surgery, Tim. My partner had a right hip replacement and was walking within 24 hours - primarily because there never seemed to be any nurses around to get her a bed pan so she went to the toilet instead. However, she had many weeks recovering and even worse she had to put up...

    DaveCov's Pyro 1/16 Harley-Davidson Electra-Glide (M-157-125)

Thanks Jim. It is a first boxing from 1967 so, as you say, it is a rare beast. Dave

    Airfix HC2 Wessex SAR.

Looks great. (y) I am itching to get going on my Wessex but I really need to clear a big backlog first. I have bought lots of Quickboost aftermarket bits and bobs for it but hadn't thought about replacing the kit seats. I think I will now that I have seen them. Dave

    Airfix 1/24 MGB (07401)

Thanks. Some people are saying the ride height is just right and others are saying it is too high! This is a rebox of the Aoshima kit and comes with the rubber bumper as well. However, there are no alternative suspension settings and I wasn't going to try to fix it. Dave

    Workbench, show us yours

The monitor is covered by a dust cover as it is very close to the spray booth. Of course, I remove the cover when I am viewing: Dave

    Workbench, show us yours

As Captain Mainwaring would say, "I wondered who would be the first to spot that". You do John. I am currently working through a box set of Ally McBeal and am currently on season 4 of 5. I have had some Vonda Shepard albums for decades and still play them. Dave

    Workbench, show us yours

I live in a small stone cottage that is 260 years old. As you can imagine, space is at a premium but as I live on my own, I was able to turn the second bedroom into a modelling den. This is my main modelling bench with my current build, an Airfix 1/8 BMW R-75/5. The monitor at the back is a...

Hasegawa 1/24 Suzuki Jimny w/Camp Girl's Figure Limited Edition (52301)

Funny that. I have always hated painting figures myself, but I quite enjoyed this one, possibly because I didn't use a brush and enamels but used acrylic markers for the first time. Dave

Hasegawa 1/24 Suzuki Jimny w/Camp Girl's Figure Limited Edition (52301)

My build of the Hasegawa 1/24 Suzuki Jimny w/Camp Girl's Figure Limited Edition (52301) The kit came with optional wheels (chrome or white standard) and different suspension settings. I chose a Le Mans Gulf Porsche colour scheme for the seats. The figure did come with a...

Nerdy Scale Model Spreadsheet, what to include?

I have been using an MS Access database since 2006 to record my kits, as I had already been working professionally with databases and spreadsheets for twenty years before that. There are eight main tables - Models_Completed Models_Removed Models_Sales Models_Sold_22_23 Models_Sold_24_25...

    HobbyBoss 1/72 Mitsubishi A5M2 Claude (80288)

My build of the HobbyBoss 1/72 Mitsubishi A5M2 Claude (80288) This was a simple OOB build. The kit did not come with the fuselage stripe decals, even though they were shown on the decalling profile, so I had to use XtraDecal red stripe decals. Dave

Scale indicator, which way is correct? eg: / or :

There was a time when Airfix did without the "1/" completely: I doubt that anybody would think that the contents would be 600 times greater than the original subject... Dave

Scale indicator, which way is correct? eg: / or :

I've been using "/" for over fifty years when it comes to model scales, even though I did get a GCE in Technical Drawing and I ain't changing now! (y) Dave
