Making aerials from sprues...
Whilst on the subject: If you have liquid hand soap in a pump dispenser, the little tube that sucks the liquid from the bottom of the bottle is PE (polyethylene) plastic. this also can be stretched. It does melt very quickly, i suggest you hold it NEXT TO the flame, not over it, but it makes...- Ian M

AK Real Colours.
I found out today that when you shake these, the lids fill with paint and when you take the lid off, you get a hand full of paint. Avoiding these like the plague.- Ian M

Pin stripes
I have seen some great detailing work done with cricut vinyls. They are VERY thin and the permanent stick like the proverbial to a blanket. Those I have seen have been in the lager scales but are ok. I have seen thicker decals. 😂 -
Making aerials from sprues...
I must be the odd one here. I use a lighter, I hold the sprue in one hand and twist it as I heat it. When it sags/bends I just put the lighter down and GENTLY stretch the sprue. If it is to hot you will get hair thin threads, to cold and it just snaps. Also worth looking for are the plastic ID...- Ian M

I was migrating away From Vallejo for this exact reason. Nozzles that split, get clogged, splutter a squirt everywhere (oh er misses). I have even had one or two that have ejected the whole nozzle and delivered the whole content of an almost full bottle in my lap. Found the AK lacquer paints in...- Ian M

Tamiya Extra Thin, whats the difference?
I use the Airbrush cleaner more as I have it anyway and why buy two things that are the same lol. Like that Advert for crips from Japan: Same sh*t Different bag. lol.- Ian M

Tamiya Extra Thin, whats the difference?
Call me old fashion if you like but I have not bought Tamiya extra thin for a couple of years or four....However I have bought quite a bit of Tamiya Airbrush cleaner... Have a read of the labels if you have both...There is 1% difference in the two components. Japanese laws prevent the same...- Ian M

I think you are doing a great job with the PE. I find it fiddly in 1/35 or 1/48 but at the 1/350 scale! Good on you sir. Your last photo is AWAL I am afraid.- Ian M
