    Neil's 1/32 WWI Nurse

Thank you very much ,gentlemen. I've done the dress and shoes now; colours are as before with German Black Brown for the shoes with a black ink wash over them. It just remains for me to put her together and make a little base. Oh and add a red cross decal. thanks for watching N

    Neil's 1/32 WWI Nurse

Working from the top down I have stopped at the waist, and in order to pad out what could be a very short thread, here are some WIP pics. Here's the comparison shot showing the finished whites but first pass on the blue. For those who are interested in these things, I underpainted the...

    Neil's 1/32 WWI Nurse

I'm pleased to say that I've painted Fanny's face, and it's come out rather better than I had dared hope I've started on the dreaded white bits (not THOSE white bits :rolling: ) as well, and I'm happy with them too. Now you can see that the primer is actually grey (Vallejo) and not white. I'm...

Airfix 54mm Napoleonic French Line Infantry

You're right Tim, they need a coat of paint to feck them up a bit lol. I'm sure I can manage that... This is the reference and this is my digital re-creation. not strictly accurate as it's more handed (or should that be footed...) than it should be. Anyway, I'm sticking with them.

    Neil's 1/32 WWI Nurse

Considerably shorter! She is 54mm he is 63mm that would make her 1.728 meters (5'7 3/4"), and him a massive 2.016meters (6'71/4") So possibly not strictly1-32 scale, then....

    Neil's 1/32 WWI Nurse

Well Fanny (see what I did there ;) ?)has been primed and part assembled. 'A simple task', you may think, but who managed to break off the carefully moulded pencil and had to replace it with a piece of wire....? One Job- ONE JOB!

Airfix 54mm Napoleonic French Line Infantry

Fusilier 8 is ready for paint, but he'll have to wait until I've freed up some Crocodile clips I changed the head. I wanted a really young looking one so this one is from a Historex lady. It's hard to see in white but hopefully it will look good in paint. I had to do the bloody hobnails...

    Steampunk Gun

Sorry there are no more progress shots, I was rushing to finish it in time for Christmas. I found the dial by googling Steampunk dials and not only did I find LOADS, it was even the right size! Then SWMBO decided we had bought enough for her already compared to the other...

Airfix 54mm Napoleonic French Line Infantry

Paint has been flung! I was going to complete one figure at a time, but I think I might just do all the heads first in the hope that I get into a bit of a groove. I have such trouble remembering what I did before, but at least I have made notes for the uniforms.

Gern's Emergency services GB - Chat thread

I'm going to dive in, if no-one objects, with this little baby. This figure is the reason I got back into painting, way back in March of 2019. I used the ICM World War 1 British infantry as my 'warm-up' project and naturally got carried away with other stuff, so nearly four years on I'm using...

Airfix 54mm Napoleonic French Line Infantry

I am pleased to report that the wounded officer is ready for priming and painting, woo hoo! I have struggled with this one, and I think it must have been because I didn’t really like the Historex head I was using. Once I swapped it over (for one from the 1970’s vintage Airfix footballers set)...

Airfix 54mm Napoleonic French Line Infantry

Ok, do you remember way back in August when I put together a couple of new Fusiliers-7 & 8? Well, they have been progressing ahead of the Officer for some reason and here is Fusilier 7 as WIP And here he is with all his kit, separate but ready for painting And here is Fusilier 8 as a WIP...

Airfix 54mm Napoleonic French Line Infantry

Thanks ,Gentlemen all for the kind responses, and I am happy to announce that Deuxieme Porte-Aigle is finally ready for paint! As you will see, I have dumped the pike; much as I love it, it just wasn’t convincing that he would hang onto it AND pick up the standard. So at the moment the plan...
