Hornby tried to be naughty ...... caught and have to own up.
They have just mocked up adverts for plain versions of the models which they will now sell , but without the "titfield thunderbolt" colour scheme etc , and the Hornby fans on facebook are not amused.- Gary MacKenzie

Eyesight
Mine is the 2.5x version and I also bought the https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0015ILDZW loupe for my good eye. but I just grabbed the page that allows you to change to whatever magnification you need. Am I ageing WW2 vehicles too much?
A slight deviation , to today , A USSR vehicle, screen grab from news footage, the amount of wear and tear to paint on this amazes me. Either their paint is very poor quality, or these vehicles are really old and never repainted?- Gary MacKenzie
