    Steven’s 1/48 Spitfire Mk.IIa

The whole ‘White Cliffs’ base is inspired! I’d say this is artistry.

At what point is your "stash" getting out of hand?

Hmm, I may have to review my stash cupboard and donate some to Model for Heroes. That looks a worthwhile charity and I definitely have some that I can’t ever see myself wanting to do. My wife would say my stash should be a maximum of one in progress and next one up!

    Westland Lynx - Matchbox - 1:72 scale

Very nice, considering the age of the kit too. Tell me that they are brand new paints, otherise I have no idea how you keep them so clean!

Masking fluid, how to remove from brush?

I use the Humbrol - now I find that use of a cocktail stick and one crappy brush that I only use for masking is the way to go. I just consider the brush a lost cause.

Nerdy Scale Model Spreadsheet, what to include?

I started doing this recently too using Numbers - mainly because I no longer want to have a Microsoft subscription for a few excel sheets. So I created (so far) two main sheets, one for Models and one for paints, and because Numbers is great at pivot tables, I use them too. The Paint one is...

    Neils Eduard 1/72 Spitfire F Mk.IX

The difference in the exhuasts is markedly better than Geoffers - and this is a 1/72, makes it yet more of a surprise that yours is like that Geoff.

    Neils Eduard 1/72 Spitfire F Mk.IX

The patches on the blue are just where I was touching up so they are wet, they should be same colour when dried fully.

The yellow on the wing edges has bled, I tried using the 1mm tape but it is probably too thin to fold so I’ll need to redo these.

    Going awol

Well if you are in a better place mentally, a few weeks/months with a big brush getting yourself settled to make a start on the stash is surely the way to go. You should be able to find something to work for every GB in the next 5 years worth of GB’s with that level of stash! 🤣

    Geoff’s 1/48 Eduard Spitfire Story - Spitfire Mk.I build.

Yeah, that’s disappointing- as you say, aftermarket but that is pretty poor.

Scale indicator, which way is correct? eg: / or :

Just to throw a spanner in the works. I see there is a thread started for a Matchbox Lynx - and the box art in there shows 1-72 🤣

    Airfix 1/72 MiG-17F 'Fresco' (A03091A)

Join the Migs GB later this year and have a go at another Mig! OK I may be biased, it is my GB :) It doesn’t show the faults you mentioned, looks a nice little build - but a tail sitter too. Good job, Sir,

Papa695s 1/72 Airfix Hawker Typhoon Mk. IB

My thoughts exactly! Taking a big chunk out of the wings is a bold move. Back when I started, if a model went wrong, it got ‘repurposed’ as a crashed aircraft! I had a lot of crashes 🤣

    Neils Eduard 1/72 Spitfire F Mk.IX

I really need to sort out using my phone too, the photos really are rubbish. Sadly no, although saying that, maybe some really drastic cutting will work. But having glued it together now, putting a rod in becomes a bit trickier. I do have another Eduard Spitfire so maybe I will do that as well...
