Neils Eduard 1/72 Spitfire F Mk.IX

I’m thinking of putting it on a plinth, you don’t get a pilot with Eduard, but I have an airfix Spitfire that I lost the canopy before completion so I should have a pilot in that. I’ve got some parts of the office complete too.
On a side-note, my acrylic for the grey/green had dried out, but I did have enamel in the right shade - and I’d forgotten how well enamel goes on.

well I found a pilot from an Airfix kit that I lost the canopy for, but I think he may need to go all Douglas Bader to fit in - painted in case he does fit..
And some more progress. I haven’t put it together yet, just dry fitting it to see it works OK.
Given up on the pilot, there was no way to get him in once I had the tub built so this will be wheels down and open canopy now.
Some progress. The main build is done, and I just need to add the exhausts and wheels, fiddly bits etc. They will be after priming and painting. So next step is priming:

The scheme is dark med blue on top so I’m not sure on white primer or grey to be honest. Black will make it look too dark but I’m thinking white could be too light underneath the blue.
Maybe a grey primer Neil for the Med blue
Shame about the pilot, can you not chop his legs off and get him in that way? bearing in mind only the top half is really visible anyway.
I really need to sort out using my phone too, the photos really are rubbish.
Sadly no, although saying that, maybe some really drastic cutting will work. But having glued it together now, putting a rod in becomes a bit trickier. I do have another Eduard Spitfire so maybe I will do that as well - putting the pilot in straight away will be much easier.
