    Been distracted

Finished my last model and not yet started another, as I've been distracted, as I got myself a new airgun target rifle, so a new toy to play with, Lol, been sorting that out for the last week or so. Will be back at the model bench asap though.... (y) Just had a thought, are there any (larger)...

    Two part clear resin question....

Thinking of doing something with a plain clear two part resin. What sort of moulds can you use, eg: would a flexible silicone type mould be ok? and if so would I need to treat / coat the resin with anything before pouring the resin in? I know it needs to be built up in several thin layers...

Nick's Airfix 1/48 Spitfire MkXIV for Colin's 90th Anniversary of the Spit GB

Great result, especially considering all the other things you had going on, that needed to be dealt with. Cheers

    Workbench, show us yours

Cheers, I went big Lol! A lot are 30cmx30cm or 45cmx45cm but I went for 60cmx60cm, better to have more space than you need. Same with my AB spray booth, a lot are 40cm, 42cm, or 45cm wide, etc but I went with 52cm wide, bit more room to work, etc. (y)(y)

    Workbench, show us yours

Little update on mine, as since I moved the sofa bed out, that freed up a lot of space! So now instead of going down into the garage every time I wanted to spray something (rattle cans, primer, etc) I now have my proper AB spray booth in the modelling area. Its not perfect but, TBH it now has...

    HI Kaci

Looks nice, is it actually a kit? Must admit I've always fancied building the DeLorean out of Back to the Future, and/or one of the Batmobiles, and/or the Assault vehicle, tank, thing from the Aliens film.

    Worst /best kit you’ve built.

Lol, Derek and Clive anyone, .......worse job I ever had!:LOL::LOL:

    Worst /best kit you’ve built.

Hmm, tough one, as I'm relatively new, not done that many kits, and I don't remember any bad kits from my Yoof? The recent old Comet kit wasa terrible fit, so maybe that one. Best one, hmm, possibly my recent SAS Landy? or my last 1:35 scale Tiger tank turned out quite well.... dunno really...

    Off to a heart specialist!

At least they have a plan, and information is power, so once you know what you are dealing with, then you can maybe do something about it, hopefully..... good luck with it mate. Its stressful, so try and stay positive, easier said than done I know..... (y)

German Tank Crew figure - Tamiya - 1:16

Cheers, when I put the first batch of photos up I thought to myself, Wow does it really look that bad, Lol.... much happier with these later photos as they better reflect what it actually looks like IRL. (y)

German Soldier in Winter Gear - Tamiya - 1:16

Actually finished this figure in March 2025! A nice 1:16 scale Tamiya kit, some nice details, this was only my second large figure, so i was still very much a noob.... But, I was never happy with the finish, despite a brushed matt coat it was still too shiny, plus was not that happy with the...
